I noticed two very annoying problems with the DnD Beyond Character Builder.
1. The restriction / rules of selecting spells in the PHB 2024 is not applied at all in the Character Builder. This is so frustrating for planning a propper Character.
For example: When I make a Level 20 Bard I can add spells in the section "1. Class" under the option "Spells" -> "Add Spells" all sort of Spell Slot / Spell Level combinations I want regardless of the official rules. I just can "Learn" all level 9 Spells there are up to the maximum of my available spells (in that case 16 level 9 spells and 8 level 8 spells), which is impossible according to the ruels. Only the maximum number of spells is checked but not the spell level / spell slots. After I picked the maximum number of spells the "Learn" Button becomes grey and you can't chose more spells. This also should aplly when you chose spells at a level above your spell slot levels!
There are other checks like Proficiency or Origin checks to avoid unlawful choices (like taking two times the feat "Alert").
Please fix the Character Builder that it also avoids unlawful selection of spells (spell level / spell slot rules).
2. When I chose a several Warlock Invocations that explicitly state "Repeatable" I still can't chose that specific invocation again.
Agonizing Blast, Eldritch Spear, Repelling Blast: Repeatable. You can gain this invocation more than once. Each time you do so, choose a different eligible cantrip.
Lessons of the First Ones: Repeatable. You can gain this invocation more than once. Each time you do so, choose a different Origin feat.
According to the rules I should be able to take several "Lessons of the First Ones" Invocations to get a bunch of "different" Origin feats but the Character Builder only let me chose this invocation a single time.
I also can't chose a cantrip for Agonizing Blast, Eldritch Spear and Repelling Blast nor can I chose thise three Invocations multiple times.. The only option that appears / that is considered in the final Character Sheet is Agonizing Blast combined with Eldritch Blast. So this clearly is another bug.

#2 is absolutely a bug. However, #1 is just a case of not having checks on that. Just like there's not checks on a paper sheet keeping a player from writing down every spell of that level. It's up to players and DMs to be honest about what's on the character sheets and pay attention to the rules. Having a character builder doesn't excuse not reading the basic rules for your character.
Well, to #1: There are certain checks in the character planner. As I said for example -> I can't chose the Feat "Alert" twice.
So it feels really odd that there are indeed checks for some stuff (like the max ammount of spells/cantrips, several feats, min. abilities for multiclassing and so on. Even the max level of your character can't be above level 20).
I just wonder why there are checks at "easy" things but when it comes to Spell Slots (for me as a brand new player with only three sessions yet very confusing) the coding behind the planner ends abruptly.
The entire system was built with the assumption that you couldn't choose the same feat multiple times. There was originally only one repeatable feat and you had to pick different options, so they could give it a different name. Having the same name screws with the system and that's something they have to work around.
You'll find all the checks in place are based on natural restrictions you'll find in the game. As for the spells selected, a DM could rule that you get the same feature many other classes do and this gives the capability. After all, many classes can change spells out and pick any level for it. That combination would be possible for Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer, and Wizard.
Additionally, Paladin and Ranger can do the same but only get spells up to 5th level.
So the real reason they don't restrict it is likely because it only affects a handful of classes, the minority.
