I was in a campaign recently where I was trying to use Chromatic Orb at 2nd level, but the damage didn't change. The ammount of dice should have been 4d8, but instead, the only dmg type that had a 4d8 was the acid one. The rest stay at 3d8. Even the dmg type listed at the top of the spell description says the same. Is this due to some rule I didn't understand from the spell. I re-read the whole description, but I don't see anything that suggest only the acid dmg increases while the rest stay the same as lvl 1.
Not sure if it is a bug or if I'm dumb and I'm missing something obvious.
Might I suggest the devs, & the legal department, work with Beyond20's dev, then?
Since official VTTs are in Beta & aren't coming out of it anytime soon?
Also:Is this why Hellfire, 2024 True Strike, Vengeful Blade, Chaos Bolt, Sorcerous Burst & other spells seemingly don't work beyond a certain threshold?

Hellfire had the same issue, but AFAIK, that one's already been fixed.
Chaos Bolt and Sorcerous Burst still do have the same issue, but those have already been reported.
I know True Strike currently displays on melee weapons but not ranged, and Vengeance doesn't currently display it's secondary damage. If those are the issues you're referring to, then those have already been reported as well.

Unfortunate, but not surprising given the track record DDB has had regarding their interest and the ****s they give for the community.
That is unfortunate.
But it does beg the question:
Do the other spells I mentioned suffer from the Beyond20 bug?
