Can someone tell me why my character sheet isn't showing the correct damages for a Level 5 Monk.
My unarmed Strike should be 1d6 + Dex Mod, but instead it is saying +4 to hit for a total of 2 damage... Is this a bug? I swore this used to work correctly.
@Sigred Clearly pointed out that I forgot that I was wearing leather armor as my previous character was a rogue. I forgot to unequip the leather armor and that is what caused the issue.
If a mod or someone else who can close threads reads this, please feel free to close this thread as it wasn't a bug, just a player being dull. lol
Think I figured out the issue, I copied a character because I didn't want to re-add the entire inventory. It seems that the character sheet does not properly update if you copy a character sheet. Because if I create a brand new character everything seems to be showing up as expected...
That is kind of annoying buy though, it really defeats the purpose of copying a character if I can't expect the changes to take place correctly.
My monk has a similar issue so it might be a bug; STR is the default modifier and your STR score is sitting at a +2, but it's odd your attack bonus is at a +4 which is your DEX. I don't see a checkbox or anything for DEX like you would have for the Pact Weapon/Hex Weapon for Hexblade, which changes the attack/damage roll over to CHAR in place of STR or DEX. Curious to see about this myself now.
No, it's not registering the Martial Arts feature at all, because it's not even showing the 1d6 for the unarmed strike or for the daggers.
I do think it is an issue from copying the character because if I create a blank charater everything seems to be working fine. The original character was a rogue.
Ahh. I was still typing up my post before I saw your second one. That actually makes sense because the monk I have was actually copied over from a a Half-Orc Fighter. Now I need to re-check all the toons I copy pasta'd /rip T_T
I know, if coping a character and changing its class does not actually work, then they really need to take a look at that feature... because the only reason I've ever copied a character was to change the class... and apparently that doesn't really work as intended.

It's because you have Leather armor equipped. Unequip that, and you'll be good to go. There's no bug here.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
I am so stupid, I completely forgot that monks can't use armor and Martial arts... whelp.
Thank you!
NP. It's not like you'd need to wear armor either since the unarmored AC of that character is higher than with armor anyway.

It does look like you can wear armor and use martial arts if you take one of the feats that grants you proficiency, however. At least here on DDB the sheet shows you're allowed the additional attack and damage modifiers based on martial arts even while wearing heavy armor. I tried all four armor feats, separately and combined.

Can a mod move this over to the Bugs thread.
