The Gunslinger is unofficial material produced by Critical Role (Matthew Mercer). On a character sheet you will need to enable Critical Role content to access the Gunslinger. To view the Gunslinger subclass you can go directly to its subclass page.
Being unofficial, how am I to create the character? Would I have to go through the Homebrew tab? Sorry for the questions out the butt; I’m new to D&D Beyond 😊. I’ve been using Prism Scroll and thought I’d give this a try to see if it’s more organized. Prism Scroll changed their format a bit and I’m more used to the actual sheets over apps.

You will need to turn "Critical Role" content "on" in your character sheet settings, which is the first page of the character builder. Then, when your Fighter reaches 3rd level you can select the Gunslinger subclass.
Are you using the Core/2024 version of the Fighter class or the Legacy/2014 version?
All the subclasses from third-party content are currently only available for the Legacy/2014 versions of their respective classes. We've been told this is something that's being worked on, but there is no official timeframe for it yet.
How do I change it bc I'm also having this problem
Go to the Class tab in the character builder and select the Legacy/2014 version of the Fighter class instead of the Core/2024 one. You may need to scroll down to find it.

It’s my understanding that Gunslinger is a Fighter subclass, however I’m not seeing it. Am I mistaken in this??

That’s what I was missing! I didn’t realize I had to be 3rd level. Thank you again 😊
