I've noticed recently that when I attempt to create a homebrew monster/race or edit a previously created homebrew monster/race, the text boxes are all messed up. Even if I am vigilant to make sure I have left no extra returns, when I go to view the finished product, there is lots of extra space between lines of text, different sections (e.g. "Stats" and "Actions"). Although all of the text that I have typed in appears to be there, it is very annoying. I've tried several times to remove the extra returns and re-save the project, but to no avail. Anything I have done in the past six months or longer has extra space now, and I'm not certain how to get rid of it
Hello! When asking for help with homebrew we would recommend providing a link to one of your affected pieces. Myself and other moderators can view unpublished content with a link.
I've updated this project a lot to make it more consistent with other 5e races as I learn more about the game. For some reason, when I try to "publish" the newer version, it won't let me because it says it should have subraces and doesn't (even though it does). I made the mistake of publishing those in the past, so now I can't delete them on the updated version. It's a mess. I'm not sure how to fix it.
Thank you noahelsee! I am noticing the same information being added to your posts. Do you have any browser extensions or add-ons running? Would you be able to try to log in during a private browsing session and see if the issue persists?
It appears that when you are interacting with the text fields that it is adding these additional containers for some reason, which I am not able to replicate, which has allowed me to remove them if I try to.
div id="i4c-draggable-container" style="position: fixed; z-index: 1499; width: 0px; height: 0px;"
div id="i4c-dialogs-container"
Thank you so much. That totally worked! It looks so much better now.
I hate to bother you any more, but I just have three more quick questions:
Is there anything I can do about the subraces that it won't let me delete? I'd like to publish the new version, but I don't know if it will let me because some of the subraces are already published (see my first comment for more information).
One of the racial traits ("Feline Agility") functions similarly to the monk's Slow Fall feature, and I tried for the life of me to figure out how to get it to show up on the character sheet, to no avail.
Is there any way to add a bonus or, in this case, dex score, to a high jump or long jump on a character sheet (also under "Feline Agility")? Like a movement bonus or something. I looked for it and saw nothing.
