I need a Light Pick instead of a handaxe. Basically, it is a handaxe except instead of slashing, it does piercing damage. How do I go about creating it? Homebrew is already turned on for my character, but after that I'm lost.
If you don't want to make a magical weapon that changes the damage type, your best bet would be to create a custom attack directly in your character sheet that has the attributes you need
Magic Items are not available for Artificer Infusions, even if they have no magic properties or modifiers, so it’s not quite the same.

As already mentioned, you can make homebrew non-magic weapons. Making it a magic weapon instead is a compromise to make the character sheet display correct information, but obviously it is still considered a magic item by the sheet and won't work for the few things that require non-magic items.

You currently cannot homebrew mundane weapons

It would be pretty simple to make a magic item of this. Just need replace damage type - piercing.
