I like to use D&D Beyond for game preparation, but my actual games are still very much "pen & paper" and there is no WiFi connection where I play anyway. So I want to print out the monsters for my encounters instead of lugging the Monster Manual around with me and having to switch pages in encounters with different monsters.
So what I noticed is that for some monsters printing out notes works quite well, for example for orcs. You get two pages (or you can set your printer to print both pages at half size on the same page), with the image on the left side, and the stat block on the right side. However for other monsters the printing doesn't work at all. For example the ogre ends me up with no image on the first page, the image slips to the second page, and I only get the first line of the stat block. There is no third page with the rest of the stats.
Any idea how to fix that? Or is this a bug that could be fixed?
WOTC does not seem to care that some people play D&D while backpacking. I zoom out and make the text smaller then use a screen shot. Lot of work but it's better than carring a tablet to play D&D while in the country side.
I was just trying to set up some encounters with this ability in mind. Is there possibly a way to get this accessible to subscribers? I usually have my tablet setup for my adventure, and have print outs of the critters in front of me so I can write on them... sigh

I've been working on a chrome extension (called Beyond Help) that adds some small features to D&D Beyond. I saw your post and thought that maybe I could help. So on the version I just pushed (0.1.1) there is a new feature that enables a better layout when printing the detail page of monsters, spells, magic items and backgrounds. I am sure the D&D Beyond staff will fix the printing soon enough, but until then you can use the extension as a work around.
If you have chrome it is very easy to use, just install the extension from the chrome web store (here). Then load a monster page and try to print again.
If you have any question or find any monster that the print is not ok be free to send me a pm.
