There's a "bug" (more likely intended but overlooked how it limits magic item homebrewing) when making a magic item that's armour, and also has the base armour option selected. It will automatically add, at the end of the item's description, the default description for that base armour.
eg: If I make a magic item which base armour is plate, then no matter what I put in the description, this will be under it:
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notice that that doesn't apply to some items already available by default on DDB. Such as Dragon Scale Mail, but isn't consistent. I noticed any magic armour with a base that has a table doesn't have the base armour descriptions on it. I tried putting a table on a homebrew item, but the descriptor was still there under the table. (On a similar vein, I noticed we cannot choose to base the magic item on the actual Dragon Scale Mail - it has to be Dragon Scale Mail with a colour/element from its table already selected such as Dragon Scale Mail (Black). It's very weird and specific. Also notice that the black version of the armour item has the default scale mail descriptor, but the one with the table doesn't.)
If this is done on purpose, can we please have the descriptions on homebrew items be whatever we want? I don't understand why it's forced to be limited like this. I want it to say "Armor (plate)" because it's full plate and behaves identically, but I would also like the ability to describe it freely; such as, for instance, having plate sabatons instead of leather boots.
EDIT: I also noticed that the default plate description doesn't show up when you view the armour from a character sheet or such. Only if you open its page or look it up in the magic items search.
