We used the Class information first. Then Racial, then Backgrounds. The only exception to anything in the UA was we allowed the Warlock to take Eldritch Blast.
That's not an exception to the UA. The Primal/Arcane/Divine lists are for feats to use. Classes still have class spell lists, according to Jeremy Crawford

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.
So I'm late to this thread, is there a 3rd party app that allows us to utilize this rule set yet? Just to theory craft and understand how each works together? Is there even a functional character sheet yet? I don't mind breaking out pen and paper, but I just want some form of expediency in the app that I pay a lot of money for every year.
UA is not part of the SRD and as such third-party character builders can't (legally) implement it into their systems.
However, Dwarven Academy allows you to make character sheets with homebrew stuff that is way easier to manage than DDB's homebrew system, and also allows homebrew classes, which DDB currently doesn't, so when the OneD&D classes UA comes out it'll actually work on that website.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
