Enhancement Request: I'm looking for a way for one user to give another user (not the DM) edit rights to their character sheet. I have a player who does not want to use a computer when playing. I generally maintain their character sheet and print it out for them. Though, it would be great to have some help from the other players if one or more other players in the campaign could also be granted edit rights to character sheet. I could just give the sheet to another player altogether, but I don't want to remove the capability for this player to edit their own sheet if they decide to.
There is a way around this issue. Have the player make a copy of the character, add it to the campaign, and unassign the character. Then have whoever you want to help run the character claim it. If you use the encounter creator deactivate the original so only one shows up in the party when making encounters. You'll have to maintain both to make sure they're the same.
Thanks, you alluded to the hard part, all changes would have to go to both. Too bad we can't pass characters or copies of characters between other people. Once someone grabs an unassigned character, there is no way to make it unassigned again, is there?
My first choice is to just give multiple players edit access of the character sheet so even in the middle of a session different people can play different parts of the session. My second choice is if we could pass the character around, like with the unassigned user. But updating to characters is better than nothing. Thank you again.
