I use the D&D Beyond Character Sheet as a fighter. The Bard in my group regularly casts Bardic Inspiration on my character. What would be the best way to show (or add check box) that the character currently has Bardic Inspiration and to click to roll the 1d6? Thanks.
My suggestion for simplicity would be to create a custom action by clicking 'Manage Custom' at the top of your actions, create a new action and name it bardic inspiration, give it the casting time of one action (just so it appears near the top of the list), a d6 to roll. Then check/uncheck 'Display as Attack' based on if you have it on you. It will show up in your actions when checked and have the d6 available as a roll button.
A more complex option would be creating a homebrew item to allow quick equip/unequip or if you plan to use it on multiple characters to prevent yourself from creating it everytime.
Thank you. I will follow your first advice, but consider your second tactic too. I'm new to the character sheets and still learning the mechanics of customization.
