I seem to be unable to navigate the new Marketplace. I can get to where I can buy the entire digital book, but I cannot seem to find how to purchase individual Monsters, Races, Magic Items, etc. I do not have the cash to constantly buy the entire book when I just want a specific item contained in the book. Can you please let me know how I can purchase a single item or group of items in the book without having to pay for the entire thing? I appreciate any feedback that can help me with this.
As of today and with no prior notice, per the Martketplace FAQ, Wizards of the Coast has gotten rid of the ability to purchase individual items from books à la carte on D&D Beyond.
Looks like they also removed the bundles. Thought I was being sensible by delaying my purchase until payday... Sad times for me! Would've been great to have notice of its removal
Can I still purchase subclasses, feats, and other game listings à la carte?
À la carte purchases are no longer supported. However, any individual items you've previously purchased will continue to be available for use on D&D Beyond, and those purchases will still be credited toward the cost of the books they originally came from. - I tested it with Bigby, since I purchased the Class Bundle, Giant Foundling, Strike & Vigor of the Giant items, but not the rest of the digital book. I should have a credit for ~ $8 but the purchase price was full price all the way to the very end of the purchase process.
They also seem to have removed the filter to hide items that I already own. There is also no notation or warning even if I add an already owned item to my cart. I know WotC would be happy if I "accidentally" bought all of my books multiple times, but they need to be a little less obvious about it. Sadly, this new marketplace doesn't appear to be a step in the right direction. Also, too many categories make it slow to search for products. Why "fix" something that wasn't broke when there's a huge backlog of useful features being ignored.
This is really stupid - I (and I'm sure many others) do not have the funds to be buying full books, and I won't be doing so especially when I only want one or two things from it.
This is one of the most idiotic decisions I've ever seen a company make. I was going to buy the feats from Tasha's because I can't afford the whole book. Now they get no money from me at all. So it's a lose lose situation for everyone.
wow the number of times I bought stuff alacarte to incrementally afford a book makes this move stupid. Looks like its time for the high seas once again

Well this sucks...
