I have had this idea for a long while, and I was curious what everyone thought about this!
What if as a physical maps tool, they made Lego sets for campaigns? This would include things like, a Lego build with instructions to make a battlemap for the specific campaign, and encounter.
For example: Say you are going through a map heavy campaign like Dungeon of the Mad Mage. The DM before the campaign begins could build the maps and rooms of Dungeon level out of Legos. He could then keep them ready for when the players enter those rooms, and put them up on the table as a visual guide for players to enter. This would eventually construct a massive lego set that makes its own map/game board that is easily customizable and interactable.
As far as token and figurines the could be purchased and customized in the typical lego fashion, and then placed on the lego set that is the dungeon map. A medium size target like an orc would be the size of a normal lego figurine, and would take up a 4×4 lego square on the ground (it could include a base that shows how much space it takes up), and stand as high as two lego bricks, giving it the 5ft cube of space it occupies. This would then down play for small (2x2 space, 1 brick high, maybe 1.5) and tiny (1x1 space, 1 brick high, maybe less) targets, while large and bigger targets take proportionally more space.
This plus interactive objects, like swords and armor, potions and backpacks, ladders and ballistas etc. These can be customized with stickers and whatever else the DM wishes.
I will add further ideas to this body, but for now, think about this and tell me possible cons or pros that I haven't listed yet.

I have made a huge homebrew setting that I am still working on putting here in DDB. Please give me feedback, I want to know all of what I am doing wrong, and what I am doing right. The thread is a huge work in progress, so everything in it from content to layout is subject to change. Please check this forum:Welcome to Zionderia
Also I have a fun thread that explores an idea about dreams based off the movie Inception. I still need to add the link but stay tuned.
