So, we all think that Wizards need and use spellbooks.
There's even a magic item called an Enduring Spellbook which, presumably is more durable than a normal one and thus more valuable than a normal one and thus normal ones exist.
But your can't select one on DnDBeyond. And they're not mentioned in the Players Handbook as an item. Except in the Wizard description. Except... in that description, if you hover over this item (and only this item in that list!) you'll see this:
All the rest have a 2024 tag. So the Players Handbook seems to be referencing something that it doesn't want to, itself, acknowledge exists...
Is it an omission from WotC? From DnDBeyond? Or is it an attempt at a cover up by Big Wizard, "Keeping arcane secrets arcane since 1173..."?
Someone official should just fix this now for the online version and in hard copy for the next print run, right?
