TL;DR: Editing homebrew requires navigating/saving multiple pages for simple changes and import/exports could help
Currently I find creating homebrew to involve a lot of different pages and it makes switching between different fields very difficult. It is slow to switch between different fields and features.
As an example, let's say I want to make a modified Nature Domain and change the Channel Divinity to be a bonus action. I must copy Nature Domain, expand the class features, click to edit the Channel Divinity feature, expand the actions, click to edit the action, and change Action to Bonus Action.
I think that one solution here could be to allow for importing/exporting of homebrew as JSON objects. This would greatly speed up editing, since all changes happen in an editor instead of the web page. This would eliminate the slow downs from constant requests to the server and avoid the need to navigate to multiple pages.
In my opinion, the greatest slow down with homebrew is these requests and multiple pages. Any solution that could reduce this would be extremely useful, but I think that import/export is a simpler one for it.
Navigating menus/features when homebrewing can be a somewhat frustrating experience. Sometimes you have links to go back, sometimes you don't.
E.g. when adding an Action to a feat or subclass feature, you have to select "resets on a... (short/long/dawn)" before the Limited Use section appears. But the tool brings you back to the previous page, and you have to click "edit" again to go back to that section. And if you add an entry in the Limited Use section, it saves it, but there is no way of knowing it has been saved, nor does the tool bring you back to the previous page. You have to click the back button on your browser.
Many places are similarly confusing.
I love homebrewing with DnD Beyond, but looking forward to the homebrew overhaul.
One technique I've discovered for easier homebrewing is open each sub menu in a new tab. It makes adding multiple but similar features quicker, plus avoids losing stuff because of weird save flows.

Homebrew is planned to be overhauled, maybe your ideas will be added then.
