D&D Beyond is already helping me in preparations for my next session:
In digitalized version of book is so much easier to search (than in paper version) when I'm making my own remarks during my preparations.
And with "clean" versions of maps for players you've just made my day and totally sold me whole Idea of D&D Beyond (as a resource thad adds more than a paper books).
Also I can replace around 2 or 3 free android apps that I was using for DMing because of really good global search and clean design of pages with monsters, spells and places.
As a player:
Next step for me will be trying to use Character builder during the game as a player and completely replace another 2 or 3 free Android apps for spells and classes that I was using till this day. (so far I'm just testing it and PDF version is not enough - i know it is in the works. Digital version seems very usable right now and I will definitely try it in next session.)
All in all - this post is all about this:
I would like to thank very much to whole D&D Beyond team :)
Can you add away to import books if I purchased a physical copy?
I'm very, very sorry, but I'm going to have to send you here. 87 pages of that exact question over and over and over, with the occasional other thing thrown in, seemingly as an afterthought.
Hahah I love it how on the first page of that thread someone prefaces the question with "not sure if this has been asked before..." and the post directly above asks exactly the same question about physical books
I do have it. The players guide is not presented as a second book in the compendium. The Elemental Evil Player's Guide has race options that were not in the Prince's module. Those races are in the character builder area, but the book itself is not in the compendium.

The appendix of PotA is indeed incomplete, I'll report this as soon as I can. Thanks!
Perhaps they recently updated this, but now all the sentient magic items are listed in the Adventure Locations text of the adventure and you can click on their names to see their descriptions. You can also look them up in the main Items online search filter.
They are not listed in the White Plume's Magic Items appendix, but as mentioned, they are listed under their respective adventure Locations with a linked description or you can find them by name if you use the Items search filter.
To expensive for my tastes. if i could jsut pay a monthly subscription and get all the content I would be willing to pay at most $15 a month, but as it stands the benefit isnt worth the cost output.
So Pay $5 a month, use the free stuff, and save the $10. In 3 months, you have enough for the PHB. Every 3 months buy a new book. in 30 months, you have paid off the Legendary Bundle and own everything (or at least, are leasing everything printed from DNDBeyond) And that $15 a month you were willing to spend a month, is now down to $5 a month for ever.
Or Buy it in pieces, and spend a total of $15 a month on the subscription, and the races and classes and adventures you are using.
Or spend $5 a month, and find a DM with Master Tier, use their books, and spend the extra $10 on Hookers and Blow!

I like where your mind is at.

There are discussions/negotiations in progress, but please be aware that these involve Curse, WotC and the 3rd party themselves, as well as possibly needing legal documents, so it's taking quite a while to be resolved.

It is being pursued though!
I have no doubt that negotiations and discussions are going down ;-) I fully understand how things work, have been involved on both sides of gaming including helping with a couple digital platforms. Truly dig whats going here, amazing!
This is regards to the format of purchased content after the fact. I didn't find it anywhere else, but apologies if it has been discussed elsewhere.
The system would be more useful if the content of purchased volumes were not kept as separate pages. For example: I have to navigate the PHB to look at the barbarian class, but I want to contrast the totem options in in the PHB with those in the SCAG, I have to navigate through the SCAG separately in a different window. Not a serious problem from a desktop browser, but its unwieldy with a mobile one. It would be nice if somehow when I navigate to a class or race, all of my content is there in one spot. Say if the default view was the SRD content, but new links or sections of the page get unlocked based on your purchased content instead of those being in totally different locations on the site.

I really have to share my disappointment with the prices I just witnessed in the marketplace. I played 4e since when the PHB2 was still in beta test (my biggest disappointment was when "enchanted unarmed strike" was replaced with ki foci,) and it made sense there. Pay subscription: get everything. Now it seems like it's double- or triple-dipping. Needing to pay full (or nearly-full) price to access the digital versions of the printed material, AND a subscription if you want more than 6 characters? And since my group has 6 people (5 players and 1 GM) that means we would need to individually create, save and delete characters, OR lay out the full cost of everything PLUS a subscription to have them on-hand. Especially since we play twice a week (online) and have a "Monday" campaign and a "Friday" campaign.
I'm sure some will call us spoiled, but the reality is more like 'broke'. We literally weren't able to scrounge up $50 from each of us to be able to do everything we wanted all at once.

Was looking for compendium feedback, but I think this forum fits best. Can Elemental Evil Player's Companion get a copy of the book in the compendium?

Is there any plans to offer 3rd party books in the Beyond Marketplace? Stuff form companies besides WOTC. This would be greats.
