Looking to pick up quite a few books but would love to grab them on sale. Looks like I just missed the valentine's sale. Any idea when another will be?

Hard to say. Easter is a big deal, they might do one after the initial launch of Candlekeep or right before Ravenloft.
Black Friday / Cyber Monday has been the biggest sale for years. They regularly have approximately 20% coupons generally every couple of months and they normally last several weeks. As far as I can tell there isn't one. I used my last one to preorder candlekeep in January. I think that one is dead. The erarliest I expect another will probably end of March.
1. Its almost always either books or bundles and not both.
2. coupons used to include preorders but according to several posts (I'm not sure where they got info - future coupons won't work for preorders)
3. most of the sales don't work for preorders though the black friday sale tends to work for preorders.
4. I think there is currently a coupon that runs out 2/7 related to the fuzzy dice for 10% off it works for preorders.
Honestly every time a book would come out for preorder I usually just wait around for a coupon. In prior years one will always come out between preorder. If the coupons not working on preorders is true this may become a moot point.
I would be a little surprised if there was a valentines sale usually there is one sale or coupon approximately every quarter so its likely the fuzzy dice one will count
The fuzzy dice one was because of a mistake they made, I'm not sure that it counts as "the" sale since it was unplanned. They don't really do coupons anymore, just sales.

Other than the recent Fuzzy Dice coupon which is really a low key sale window, D&D Beyond hasn't produced a coupon code outside of what comes with the Essentials Kit for some time (about two years at least I think). Re: pre-orders, during the Black Friday sale, Strixhaven pre-orders were not covered by the sale. I'm not sure if that was a one time experiment or new precedent going forward. I think part of the logic was people who pre-ordered Strixhaven prior to the sale were irked that it may be eligible for sale pricing and wanted to refund their pre-order so they could buy it at the sale discount. I'm pretty sure that was the first time it was done, as I remembered using sales to purchase a pre-order within the year prior.

I think the week after U.S. Thanksgiving is their biggest sale if you want to wait that long.

i'd say every few months there's some kind of promo...but yea, biggest one is always in the fall.

Should we expect another sale around Valentine's day this year?
Keep it fun, Keep it real, Keep it safe.

IS it worth waiting for a week to see if some books come on sale?

Amazon and Target are running a "Buy 2 get 1 free" on D&D books, wondering if DND Beyond will follow suit to keep the virtual sales.
Sale on now for 20% off for V-Day.
