If you're anything like me, you probably love races. Like, love races. Having all these cool little civilizations to sprinkle in your world like that one meme of the guy salting a steak is extremely fun, but even with the 40+ official races WotC currently has, there are still a few places where they just kind of... lack.
So I'll ask but a copper for your thoughts! What sort of official races and stuff might be nice to have for 5e?
Frog people.
What about grungs?
Is that what those are? Sorry. I don’t usually read about races that I don’t own.
Yeah. They’re frog people. They’re in Tomb of Annihilation.
And monster stats for them are in Volo's and M3.
And have a fun ability where their touch is poisonous. Could make for a silly monk build.

I really want to make a Gnoll character. I do know that they are supposed to be np s or enemies, but I personally really think that it’d be nice to play as one. Id even settle for a part Gnoll or Civilized Gnoll.
PLEEZ make pixies an race or at LEAST make a tiny race.
It does seem to be part of the 5e design philosophy that PC races/species are only either Smalll or Medium. The Fairy seems to be the solution for providing a playable Pixie/Sprite, while avoiding breaching their size limits.
At other end, we have playable Medium versions of Centaurs and Minotaurs (which are Large monsters). The Goliath and the Dragonborn arguably exist for the same reason.

Definitely!

their is the fairy race (from Mordenkainens Presents the Multiverse/Wilds Beyond the Witchlight), but they are only small, not tiny
They can become Tiny with Enlarge/Reduce.
So can a halfling.
