I was hoping to make a goblin character and just wanted to purchase just the race. I am having a hard time finding where i can purchase it. Am I just blind or is it not possible to just purchase the race anymore?
The new book, Mordenkain presents Monsters of the Multiverse ('MMM' or 'M3', around the forums) has the reduxed goblin species in it. You can buy goblins a'la cart from the Marketplace menu for that book.

yeah if you just go to the marketplace and click on the monsters of the multiverse and scroll all the way down you will see a bunch of races, goblin being one of them.
