I'm branching out from paladin sword and board and moving to a heavy RP less combat focused build. I know I'm very set on being a kenku for expert duplication, kenku recall, and mimicry. Would really like to move in the shadows and employ lots of deception and trickery and kill when only necessary. Please help me with a very viable build, I don't want to fall behind the rest of the party or be dead weight.
You're already playing one of the best classes (Warlock). Just pick a patron and have fun with it. You are in no real danger of "falling behind" or being mechanical "dead weight."

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
well, any ideas on what cantrips and spells are good options for stealth, deception and subversion. anything like that. being able to hold my own in combat is good but i would like to focus on utility.
The mask of many faces invocation lets you cast disguise self without using spell slots, that could be useful combined with mimicry.
It's a first level spell and so has some limitations, it likely won't survive contact with anyone actually touching you, but could be a good invocation option for that kind of character.

Also might want to go Fey Pact to get access to better enchantment/charm spells, plus the free mini-teleport.
