Some features, like the Fighter Champion subclass 'Improved Critical' ability, allow a critical hit on rolls less than 20 (the aforementioned Improved Critical allows crits on 19-20, for instance). Is there any way to make Beyond 20 automatically do that? I thought maybe the Custom Critical limit, but I wasn't sure what that actually does.

Do you mean Beyond20 or D&D Beyond? Or do you mean Roll20?
Beyond20 is the extension (not associated to D&D Beyond officially by any means).
Beyond20 and D&D Beyond do automatically do it. Well, D&D Beyond automatically does it and that feeds into Beyond 20.
Not 100% sure about Roll20, however.
Above is a Natural 20 - below Natural 19 (Crit) because of Champion Improved Critical
EDIT: Or are you asking, aside from being a Champion?
I can't recall all the FEATS, but I do not believe there is one that is similar to Improved Critical which Champions get.
But you could, with your DM's approval, homebrew it probably.
I was referring to when you make a roll in D&D Beyond (and it carries over through Beyond 20), was there a way to make it account for the increased chance of a crit, such as a Champion's Improved Critical ability? Because my experience was that it did NOT. I distinctly rolled a natural 19 on an attack with my 3rd-level Fighter Champion, and it did NOT treat it as a critical hit. It may or may not be worth noting that said roll was with a Unarmed Strike (and the Unarmed Fighting Style) and not technically a "weapon".

As Stavros_Araatan pointed out - if it was unarmed, this is probably why as it requires a weapon.
As you can see in the second post - I rolled... a lot of times... until I got that 19. And it rolled in D&D Beyond as a Critical and did all the extra dice, which it then shoved through Beyond20, as expected.
RAW, unarmed does not trigger the crit on a roll of 19
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20
but talk to your DM for their ruling on it.
if it’s a weapon attack, dndB and B20 will both output correctly
Well then that explains it. But IMO it seems to be an unnecessary distinction and is parsing out the language a bit too precisely, especially for a Fighter who has actually taken the Unarmed Fighting Style.

Yeah - there's a few times where punching someone and using a skill or whatever is not RAW, but I've allowed it. I had a Paladin who wanted to punch a monster and expend smite - which technically requires a weapon - but I allowed it. Because it creates this cool visual that their fist is this holy energy in a moment of fury.
