I'd like to try a Whispers Bard with one or two levs in Hexblade with either Baalzebul or Fraz-Urb'luu as a patron.
As he gets up in level he'll cast Summon Greater Demon, Infernal Calling & Planar Binding. Hopefully get an imp or quasit familiar and yak with the demon lords or arch devils.
For anyone who's doing Artificer/anything, I'm going to shamelessly plug the link in my signature (on a phone, turn it sideways!) for my Artificer Multiclassing Feats, which I'm really proud of!
A combo I enjoyed was swashbuckler rogue and some flavors of paladin I did oath of vengeance, those sneak attack smites were super nice, along wiht the mix of skills and some minor suport I was a good off tank and support, was also my first time trying to make a dexterity based paladin.
An interesting combo I’ve been looking at recently is barbarian2/bladesinger x. The barbarian gives you proficiency with constitution saves, starting HPs and rage as a backup. It doesn’t really come fully online until L8 when bladesinger gets their second attack.
Ability Scores (point buy): Str. 13 (12 + 1), Dex. 13, Con. 16 (15 + 1), Int. 8, Wis. 8, Cha. 16 (15 + 1) (the 13 str. and dex. are for heavy weapons and armor)
This build would give heavy armor training, amazing healing power, high damage output (attacking and using valor bard extra attack to cast true strike, adding Cha. twice), weapon mastery, bardic inspiration (mainly not miss with true strike), divine smite, shield of faith, eldritch smite, radiant soul to add Cha. again, and conjure minor elementals (magical secrets) - with eldritch mind for advantage on concentration saves. This also leaves a lot of utility spells to prepare, along with the celestial warlock spells. Additionally, this order would give an epic boon upon reaching Valor Bard 12.
Under 2014 rules you could use the variant human L1 feat for magic initiate: warlock and take Eldritch blast, one other cantrips and either hex or witchbolt, then pair that with a fighter, ranger or barbarian and then MC into sorceror for a very powerful Gish.
ranger18/druid2.. druid 2 with circle of the moon will give you great shapechange options and druid and ranger work great together
Barbarian/Fighter is always fun.
Rogue/Warlock is also surprisingly fun.
I've seen a lot of cool Bard/Warlocks, too.
Ranger/Rogue is always a good combo as well.

Got to go with Bugbear Fighter (Battlemaster) / Rogue (Assassin). Max sneak damage build

My favourite multi-class is The BARDBARIAN.
I like the image of a pure rage machine that can bust out a jig mid-battle.
