Would a war caster feat, making your weapon as the focus of a Melee spell attack via war caster feat, be allowed to stack with Divine smites? for instance, if i go oathbreaker, and use inflict wounds with war caster using the weapon as the focus, would i be allowed to Divine Smte on top of it? i've always wondered about this particular situation, thanks in advance!
Nope - Inflict wounds is a melee spell attack, divine smite requires a melee weapon attack. It does work with Booming Blade and Green Flame Blade, though, because those spells specify that you make a melee weapon attack.
But if the DM says it’s ok, it’s ok, despite it not working with Rules As Written.
