Of those listed, I Only have experience with Roll 20. It can be finicky, but once you get the hang of it, it can be pretty decent in terms of what you can do. The free tier is pretty customizable, and with a little manual work, you can run 2024 stuff just as easily as you can 2014 stuff.
Since this is the forum that it is, the obvious answer is to try DNDBeyond, but it ain't free, and it ain't that great in the freedom of use department.

Roll20 has a lot of finnicky issues with it and takes a learning curve; but ultimately it IS free and will do a lot of work for you for D&D and a lot of other systems.
I'll second AboveVTT, been using it for the last three or so years very successfully. It's free and pulls through from D&D Beyond so any campaigns you own will have all their maps and monsters available

Also check out AboveVTT, which is browser addon/extension.
I have been a player on the Owlbear VTT, and it worked well, the DM has used it a while and had good things to say about it.
