I'm a fan of MorePurpleMoreBetter's auto-fillable character sheet, which I've both printed out for at the table use and keep as a PDF on my computer to update when I get home from games. It almost includes too much information, but you can obviously pick and choose which pages you'd like to use.
This * (where'd I put that infinity symbol again???)
It's not so much the sheet its self that's superior, but the darn thing is a full-scale character generator. I wish I'd found it sooner.
Exactly!! I'm the unofficial character creation helper in my Saturday game, and this past weekend one of my party needed me to roll his brother's character because they didn't have time to get together. It was about three hours before the game was to start. He gave me class and race, and I had some pre-rolled stats, my computer, and this sheet. All he had to do when I got to my FLGS was give me the small details and his sheet was ready to go before the game started.
Thanks to this thread I've discovered this sheet. There is a serious amount of effort that's gone into this and it works great. Took me a little while to get used to using it though.

Sorry for the double post... Apparently I don't know how to use technology.
Unfortunately your link just takes me to a page that says "This resource is not found."
Any idea what's up? I really want to check out this character sheet.
I also like that there are custom scripts out there for addding homebrew content not yet supported, like Matt Mercer's Gunslinger, Blood Hunter, and Bard college. I've linked to this PDF for all of my players to use and upload to a single shared dropbox. It allows me to see things between sessions to answer questions as well as allow them to print it out again if they lost it or if everyone leveled up during a session.
My favorites are the ones that pop up on r/dnd and other places where someone has hand drawn the sheet to have just as much personality as their character. Too bad I can't draw :(
You could commission one! :D Maybe someone of Fiverr could do it.

Yep, this is the best printable PDF character sheet I have found and it is a character builder as well. Until DDB's PDF improves I will continue to use this to print up character sheets. DDB could learn from the simplicity of this PDF character sheet.
The reason orcpub and MPMB are taken down, is because they use not only SRD but the whole database of characters. if they used only the SRD they wouldn't be turned down. same with everything else. WOTC do not destroy those who only have SRD. they turn down those who have added official book into their shit. what MPMB could do is use SRD only and allow people to add custom stuff to it. now it wouldn'T be his fault if people added the official stuff, because he wouldn't give that. same for ORC PUB. I believe it is what fifth edition character sheet will do when he goes down too. he'll just reduce to SRD and leave the custom field open for people to add their own stuff to it.
MPMB is one of the best and it makes easy character creation. but to me online tools are much better. i highly recommend using Fifth Edition Character Sheet on android device. and paying to unlock the full app is cheap and makes it much more worth. able to make characters in just 15 seconds. leveled up and all !
this place is also a great character sheet online if you need it.
when it comes to me, my only quirks about the official paper sheet, is that the flaws, traits and all are wrongly placed and that the equipment section is too small. so i recreated it for my players, and it replaced the traits, flaws, ideal and bonds section with a Ressources section. so i can put my spell slots there and my fighter ressources or bard ressources there. that way it is easier to know what i am left with on the same first sheet. I also changed the equipment section to a treasure section. It is for currency and gems and things of value. the treasure section on page two changed to Equipment since there is much more space there to write equipment. One could also simply use the attack section to write out ressources and leave the trait, flaw, ideal and bond section for equipements or things like that.
some of my firends preffer the alternate official sheet where skills and saves are categorised by their stats instead and spread out on the sheet. i do not like these because saves and skills are in the same boxes and it seems to confuse a bunch of players. and i dont like that idea cause it waste a ton of space on the sheet.

First OrcPub and now MPMB, WOTC is coming down hard on these guys.

I like the standard WOTC forms but my eyes can't read the small fonts anymore.
Get glasses.
If only we knew an eye doctor.
He is my best friend...just giving him crap.
I still like paper. Even if the hit points section turns gray from constant updating up (occasionally) and down (too frequently).
