Yes there was an unexpected change on roll20's end. Per the discord announcement:
KaKaRoTo 12/01/2020
Roll20 has made a change to their site yesterday which causes some functionality from Beyond20 to stop working, forcing all rolls to be sent using the default roll template even if your character sheet template is set to D&D 5e.
What I need to know is will I have access to the source books and adventure books that I have on dnd beyond. As far as I can tell, this is just for character sheets and dice rolls.
The general idea with the extension is that you manage and roll for your your characters and monsters from dnd beyond into your VTT like roll20 for foundry. This does not really do anything with Adventure books purchased on dnd beyond other than being able to roll from monster stat blocks that may be included in the adventure.
Exactly. Beyond20 does not actually transfer info from DDB into your VTT. You still have to be accessing all your DDB content here on this site as always. The only thing the Beyond20 extension does is send any dice rolls you make here over to the chat log of the VTT (and adjust hp on the token if applicable).
I am seeing the following bug: when using a hotkey for bless (or any of the +dX options), something funky is happening and the roll is always showing up as a 0 in Roll20. The Bane versions of those same options seems to work correctly.
How do you use the hotkeys with DnDBeyond? I have two set "r" for rage, and "g" for Great Weapon Master, but do not see how to use them....tried many combinations but doesn't seem to be working...I must be missing something?
Edit...never mind...got bitten by the "shift" bug....

For others benefit: You keep the hotkey held down while you click to get beyond20 to roll the dice as for a normal roll.
we just found out about this, and it is awesome so far. one thing it's not really an issue more of an annoyance, but when you click on the roll button, a side info screen shows up every time. is this something we live with or a glitch?

That side panel is D&D Beyond's own info panel and one of its greatest feature, it will show on anything you click on regardless of using Beyond20 or not.
Actually, that's what Beyond20 reads in order to determine how to make the roll.
Don't know if this has been asked our suggested before, but it would be awesome if there was a way for beyond 20 to sync across multiple devices all authenticated to the same chrome/Google account. This would allow players on a tablet/laptop/phone to push rolls to a separate device perhaps acting as the game board (tv/monitor connected to PC). Would also be cool if this could detect the extension on the same network and push to an active vtt so multiple players in the same room could push to a central screen.
Probably some prohibitive tech challenges here but thought I'd mention! I'm really loving this app and use it constantly for our games!

It is the job of the VTT to handle multiple computers sharing information. Beyond20 is simply a way to get information from dndbeyond to your preferred VTT using "simple" technology within a single browser.

It is my understanding that DnD beyond has no affiliations with ANY VTTs and that to "integrate" requires unofficial means!
Correct. This thread is about Beyond20 which is a 3rd party browser extension that adds buttons next to abilities, saving throws, attacks, etc and sends the rolls to a VTT such as foundry, roll20 or astral.

please correct me if I am misinformed
You are correct. DNDbeyond has no connection with any particular VTT.

Thanks, Just wanted to make sure I didnt miss something! Funny thing is they SHOULD! I purchased DDBeyond stuff only after i found a way to integrate it without having to buy the content twice (three times if you are like me and have hard cover books as well) They really need to get their crap together on that front! HUGE missed opportunity!

There are lots of requests for DDB to create their own VTT - which primarily means creating a D&D 5E specific VTT to compete with all the OTHER VTTs that are already available.
DDB's primary purpose is to support the D&D 5E WOTC official content, and manage character sheets.

this week in Roll20 the 3d dice have stopped rolling and it no longer recognises critical rolls.
Anyone else got the same? I've tried playing with settings in both Roll20 and Beyond20, but can't seem to change it. It was working fine 6 days ago
I noticed that as well, it looks like when you set up a macro to roll in Roll20 for some reason, Foundry seems unaffected.

Hi everyone!
I've just released a new update to Beyond20.
It's available now on Firefox, and should be available in the chrome store within a few hours (depending on Google's review speed).
You can check out the full release notes and changelog here : https://www.patreon.com/posts/beyond20-v2-3-0-44815969
Enjoy!
Awesome update!

ETA: I see this is already logged in the issue tracker. Should have checked there first! https://github.com/kakaroto/Beyond20/issues/614
