Hey guys, I'm new to D&D and I've just kind of been messing around in character creation trying to come up with some new ideas. But truth be told, I don't really have a clue what I'm doing. One of my favorite games ever made is Bloodborne. And I'm trying to make a multi class of gunslinger / blood hunter to create a sort of bloodborne inspired character, but one that dual wields pistols. I'm looking for suggestions on how to make this work (if you can make it work). Here's a really quick character sheet I made of a maxed out (level 20) character using this idea. If you have any questions about any of my choices, I can try to explain my small brain reasoning behind them, but I'm mostly looking for tips on how I can make this work out. Thanks for reading!
You can't have the same fighting style twice (just because the character sheet let's you does not mean it is not against the rules), I recommend changing one to two-weapon fighting style[edit](firearm specialist already grants a bonus action attack with firearms, so unless you remove this feat (you don't need it without misfire weapons)) defence.
I also recommend the dual wielder feat and sharp shooter feat.
I can't tell what 13th level of blood hunter gets you, but you should go 8 levels fighter for the ASI/Feat (unless the feature I cant see is really good).
You also may want some armor and a melee weapon (rapier recommended). Also pistols have the loading property which prevent multiple attacks and the ammunition property which restricts dual weilding, you should switch to the CR firearms (pistol or pepperbox).
Thanks for the reply! I actually didn't realize I took archery both times my mistake! And 13th level BH doesn't actually give anything so yeah I'll for sure just go 8 in fighter. Also on the point of armor: since it's bloodborne inspired I was thinking of going unarmored defense (There's no armor / armor bonuses in bloodborne, everyone just wears clothing). Plus as I understand it Wisdom and Dex should be my focuses on this setup. Do you think this would be a good choice for that feat I'd get from going Fighter 8? Note: I'm not sure if unarmored defense would usually be allowed here, but considering me and my friends are all bloodborne fans, I think my DM would let it slide for our campaign. But also let me know if this is usually supposed to be allowed or not
Unarmored defense are features of the Monk and Barbarian classes. Your DM could give you permission to have it, or you could wear studded leather like a normal person. You should probably make a bloodborn inspired BH homebrew subclass (rather than a feat) if unarmored defense is your plan.
Also you should bump CON up to a round number for more HP. WIS isn't benefiting from being odd either (you can use the ASI that added unarmored defense to +1 both).
