In a lonely tavern a few miles north of the Gothic city of Neverwinter, called "The Bullywug King", you found a job offer for ne'er do wells, sellswords and the like, issued by a mountain dwarf, named Beregrin Hargrisson - a dwarf from dwarven undercities beneath the tundras of Icewind.
Beregrin wasn't there to meet you in person, alas, all the information needed to know about this quest was, in summary, the following: He was a geological surveryer and blacksmith who had uncovered clues of finidng a long lost, and hitherto forgotten dwarven forge by the name of Corumant Forge. He is currently in a human settlement southwards called Castadar which is 7 or so days away, and was meant to receive a sealed adamantine case from Icewind, but at The Bullywug King Tavern, the riders had had a drunken scrap with some sellswords and had been killed. Thus, he requires others to journey on and complete this delivery, as he is held up in Castadar with his own work to be done. The reward is 50 gold pieces upon bringing the supplies, which should be delivered to Castadar's Blacksmith forge and store, where payment will be made.
And so, with one strong ox and a cart carrying a strongbox, you accept and begin what seems to be a simple escort of important goods with another bunch of companions. Perhaps...perhaps....
But in the tavern there have already been rumours of evil going on's in the realm, as monsters prowl out from their shadowy homes and evil races, such as the dark elves, seep from the cracks committing diabolical acts of pillaging, enslaving, ****, slaughter and bloody murder.
Be on your guard, warriors of Sword Coast, for fate is not kind to the unwary.

My name is Adam, and I have been DMing for D&D 5e for 4 years now and love being a DM, as it has helped me with my passion for professional voice acting over the years and allowed me to spend time with some enjoyable people and create fantastical memories! I use proper maps, music and sfx/ambience for perfect immersion. Im someone who primarily loves to act, but I always make sure when I can to add in combat and mystery so the session isn't just talking :)

The Theme is LOW MAGIC, DARK FANTASY and SWORD AND SORCERY, but still set in Forgotten Realms (so think of Lord of the Rings and Conan the Barbarian). Magic is rare and the Gods are distant, even to their most devout, making mages and spellcasters not only a rarity, but they also make people wary of their intent. This is a ROLEPLAY HEAVY campaign, but when there's combat, it'll be proper combat! MATURE CONTENT, please be over 21 when applying. This campaign will go from level 1 to level 5 but with the potential of going up to 7. We will play for a max of 3 hours at 8pm (BST) on Sundays weekly.
Since this is dark and low fantasy, classes available are; Fighter Rogue Barbarian Ranger Wizard Paladin Druid Monk

Backstory: Selania has never been one to stick around anywhere for long. Either she gets bored (or in trouble) and decides to move on. Her inquisitive nature and fascination with magic have gotten her into trouble more than most people can count. She is a student of the arcane arts and practices them otherwise know as a wizard. She grew up in a bustling city where she was the dirty secret of a noble family, due to her parent's cruelty and overall inability to grasp higher ideas such as magic she left them. Now she wanders around searching for answers to questions that burn in her mind. However, she has issues culminating and has never really had companionship before. this makes her prone to miss social cues and often lands her in hot water as well as her curious nature.
Now at the "The Bullywug King" her curiosity is piqued again by a job escorting an interesting cargo.
I have 6 months experience due to the only party I've been with having disbanded because a couple of members had family matters to attend. My favorite part of D&D is being able to escape reality for a few hours and release myself of daily stresses.

I was born to a Half-Elf family. After asking other family members, I heard rumor of a human ancestor (whose name has since been conveniently forgotten) who sought the help of a demon to bring respect and favor upon his descendants from other Elves, despite the mixed bloodline.
Once my tail and horns started getting too long to hide beneath clothes and hair, at the age of 6, my mother and my two brothers took me deep into the woods for a game of hide-and-seek. I never saw them again and never found my way home. I lived in the woods for two years without ever coming across any major threats. One day, while I was foraging, a juvenile owlbear came out of a nearby bush and attacked me. Luckily, I was saved by a hooded figure I would later come to know as Cherie. She took me back with her and became my mentor. I trained with her and the other 14 members of the Black Order (a small mercenary order on the outskirts of Gauntlgrym) until the age of 16, when I was sent out on my own. I became a freelancer and eventually became a bounty hunter because someone said I was good at it. Now, I find myself wanting a new adventure.
As for Character Art, I will have it in a few days as long as all goes well and it will be posted to my discord.
I've only been playing for just under a year now in one campaign. But since it meets only twice a month I've been trying to find other games I can take part in. There is a certain appeal with playing Dnd due to the freedom you have with a created character that really can't be matched in most video games, so I want to experience more stories.

He fought for his survival, hoping to one day earn freedom and take revenge against the ones who tore his family away from him. One day, a riot broke out and Daru managed to slip away in the confusion. Escaping to the mountains, he met an elderly hermit who took him in in exchange for help and company. As years passed Daru found his drive for vengeance slowly slip away and instead decided to live his life exploring the world as an adventurer to make up for the time he lost. Thanking the hermit for saving his life, he sets off on a journey, only to find himself in the Bullywug King.

Character backstory (minimum one paragraph, max 3 paragraphs): From a night that beveled the darkness, comes out a boy of the deeper dark. Kain Godfried was no child of nobility, his last name stolen from the very family who accepted him, the very same family who stole everything from him and left him to rot... that is before joins an order of believers. As he lives his life in the parish, his life felt empty, as if there was something missing at foot. Nobody knows if his demeanor was just an act or a mere way to cope with all the horrors he has seen throughout his life, but many would also say that his life ended that day, when the Godfried family died out of the blue eaten by the world. But just like this chapter of his life , it is merely a point where it all starts, a point of vengeance and adventure. And the start of his tall tales told by his own mouth.
