Terran is a world of stories. The single fundamental truth of the world is that the triumphs and failures of heroes and villains alike must be cataloged so that future generations and learn from the hardships and build a better world. Today, we pick up a tome, the first of a trilogy, that has come to be one of the most influential tales in all of history. In this tale, we’ll deal with bonds forged in blood, old magic reawoken, and just what makes someone Good or Evil.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, via Discord Experience: I've been DMing for almost 10 years now Timezone/Schedule: I'm in CST, but I will run this as a 24/7 game as much as I can! Roles sought: Players, and no limit on how many!
Westmarch games are fun practices of scratching the D&D itch where you can drop in and out, getting together and playing as much or as little as you want. However, for those craving the kinds of stories woven in ActualPlay shows and Video Games, Westmarches leave something to be desired. Well, no more! Welcome to Divine Right to Rule, a story-based Westmatch game!
A Story-Based Westmarch game progresses through milestones, and all players are always at the same level, even those who join in later. Milestones are decided by large events that have ramifications for events worldwide! You can decide to be a solo player or form a party with your fellow players and explore the world! There's a diverse cast of NPCs, a litany of potential elements to tie into backstories, powerful magic items, and you can personally choose what path you'd like your player to go down! Everyone's going to start at part of the continent's Adventuring Guild, but will you stay as such, or will you go rogue? Perhaps you want to get involved with the world's political intrigue, or stay as far away from it as possible. Whatever you decide, the world is your oyster!
Already, things are getting interesting! Two of the players that have joined are sibling Princes under the continent's Emperor, forming their own adventuring parties in competition with each other and a third heir (an NPC) to see who's truly worthy for the throne! Will you join in their political game, or aim to steer clear of the rivalry?
This story starts at Level 4, and I don't have an exact start date yet. There's still a lot of prep on my end to get through, but the doors of my server are open for people to join, make their characters, and form their first groups! Come in to enjoy the adventure, the intrigue, and the roleplaying atmosphere! I'll be glad to DM and mediate whenever I'm available once our campaign begins, so feel free to drop in and out, though it is of course recommended you only form parties with people you share availabilities with.
If you wish to join the discord, add me on discord! My username is PuzzlingCipher. I look forward to writing a story with you.
It's only been a day since I posted this, and already, things have gotten interesting!
We now have four adventuring parties made: two devoted to the Royal Rivalry, one with the aim to be made up of rogues and tricksters gathering intel like spies, and another made to be a classic mercenary troupe!
But we've only just begun, there's plenty of unfulfilled spots on these parties, and there's still plenty of time before our campaign begins to make entirely new ones, so if you want in on this project, come on down!

Do you still have a spot?
There's no max! This is a project where it's like an MMO style game of D&D!
