Welcome to the island of Obojima, a land where humans and spirits have learned to live together in beautifully detailed locations that feel like they were pulled straight from beloved classic anime films. Mysteries abound on the island! 80’s technology like vending machines, keytars, and kei trucks are found throughout the land, mysteriously left behind from the First Age. Spirits, fish folk, and bizarre creatures can be found everywhere, each with their own unique agenda. The biggest mystery, known as the Corruption, has started to spread across Obojima changing everything it touches into twisted abominations. All this, combined with the rising threat of the underwater tyrant known as the Lionfish King means there will be endless hours of adventure ahead.
Obojima believes that experience points should come from meaningful experiences. Adventurers should expect to attend festivals, eat good food, discover new old technology, learn about the menagerie of spirits, and make new friends as they learn more and more about the magical island they live on.

Little about me
Hello fellow DnD enjoyer! I go by Uni and I am 20 years old, I have played DnD for about one and a half years at this point. I would describe myself as an open-minded, creative and jolly DM who prioritzes all my players comfort and enjoyement, making sure everyone gets an equal amount of time. One of the many things I bring to the table as a DM is the unique personalities and voices for each NPC, as well as memorable moments, immersive storytelling, out-of-the-box concepts, custom tailored content for my players and more.
About the Campaign
This is going to be a long term Ghibli inspired campaign, with the major focus being on roleplaying and exploration. It will be a slow pace and fairly light hearted, but that doesn't mean you won't have heartfelt moments throughout the campaign. Each player will be able to take their time to indulge in various activities, conversations, adventures and so on... The campaign will also be quite different from any normal campaign, as the party and individual players will get the satisfying opportunity of earning their skills, experience, spells and more as they watch their character evolve. Be prepared to create multiple characters on standby as natural conclusions to your character's story might happen sooner than later throughout the campaign (if it makes sense for the story, of course). That way you will have a new character ready to go and the story will go on as your previous character gets to live out their "ever after".
About you as a Player
You're an enthusiastic player who is willing to spend your Saturdays with some funky people.
You are respectful of your fellow players and their boundaries.
You enjoy watching stories unfold and feel a sense of satisfaction when a chapter closes.
You're willing and dedicated to learning and getting along with the party.
You understand that every character will have their moment and yours will too.
You're comitted to the campaign and can immerse yourself into the story and your character.
You strive to make it to every session, though I understand that life gets in the way sometimes.
You're willing to spend just a bit of time with your fellow players and build a comradery with them (mainly just before and after sessions), and maybe even play some games outside of the sessions.
By the way... if you've made it this far, then you are awesome! B)

Age:[18+] years old
Time zone: GMT
Availability: Fridays and Saturdays
Experience: I've been a player since 2018 and I've been a DM for 3 years. I've been in a few long term campaigns and I've run a module as a DM.
Favorite part of DnD: I love roleplaying! Interacting with other players, NPCS and just learning about them and their characters. I love just getting lost in the world with fellow players and just having a grand adventure!
Experience: Played D&D face to face when younger, have been playing RPG computer games throughout my life and in the last year have come back to D&D playing in groups mostly online.
Favourite part of DnD - Roleplay and treasure
Time zone - GMT
Fun fact: I have a three-legged rescue dog (from Romania) called Daisy who is slightly mad.
Availability: The listed Saturday time works perfectly fine for me
Experience: I’ve been playing ttrpgs since the early 2000s
Favorite part of DnD: solving problems in unconventional ways. I love how we’re not limited in the same way that video games are. It encourages players and DMs to think on their feet and come up with outside the box solutions.
Fun Fact: I love DMing 1-shots whenever my DM needs a break. Typically I try to tie them into the backstory of my character as it helps me to develop them more and gets the party more interested in who I’m playing. Whenever I’m in a group where everyone is comfortable taking turns doing this it REALLY helps to build our inter party connections
I just got the Obojima book myself, and I’m obsessed with the subclass options. The roleplay flavor is absolutely delightful.
Experience: I’ve been playing DND for 8 years now and have run a few of my own campaigns so i’m well versed in that aspect! My games have all been RP heavy and love RP more than anything.
Favorite part of DnD: Watching and partaking in the development of my own character and other players characters! Experiencing how consequences are real, how choices impact relations, how different personalities mingle with each other. That and uncovering the backstories of both my characters and other players!
Availability: I would prefer weekends but any evening that isn't very late on Tuesday or on Thursday would work for me.
Experience: I've been playing TTRPGs for years, mostly DND but i have also dabbled in a good few other systems, mostly story based ones, I'll list them here! - Masks - Call Of Cthulhu - Pathfinder - A few other powered by the apocalypse games - And a custom game called beauty in hell made by one of my friends!
Favorite part of DnD:
Roleplaying for sure! Honestly I think the most rewarding part of the game is making campaign alerting decisions that fall in line with what your character has learned and experienced. I also love developing relationships in the party. I find it so uninteresting when the party seems to barely talk to each other, let alone have any sort of varied dynamic.
Availability: Free on Sundays and after 5pm on Saturdays
Experience: I've played DnD for about 3 years, but I'd consider myself still intermediate. I don't claim to be most knowledgeable nor the most efficient at DnD, but I do like to learn. Every campaign is a new opportunity to learn for me.
Favorite part of DnD: The creative input we invest into the game, really. I'm always busy so I started playing DnD to give myself something to allow my brain to get creative and chaotic. They say you always put a little bit of yourself into your art and I take that into DnD as well. Roleplaying is a form of performative art and it feels really refreshing to put/reimagine a side of who I am into a different story and let it play out.
Experience (both with TTRPGs and roleplaying): I played DnD off and on throughout college (4+ yrs) but fell out of playing afterward. I have gotten back into it over the past year listening to Dimension 20 and NADDPOD and recently DM for the first time for a group of coworkers, which has inspired me to look for games where I am a player again.
Favorite part of DnD: The world-building and character-building aspects of roleplaying, creating and inhabiting someone new with no idea who they will end up being. Also, the creativity of playing the unexpected nature of seeing others approach to problem solving.
Fun Fact: I recently got my first tattoo, a celestial-inspired Ural Owl with antlers. Additionally, I recently started solo-playing Koriko and love the Ghibli vibes!
Availability: Sat 7-8pm sounds great, also avaialble on Fridays/Thursdays at any time or evenings other days!
Experience: Intermediate. Only played D&D but I'm always interested in trying various campaigns. I'm a quick learner and played on and off. Enjoyed several campaigns but could never find a reliable DM so always got upset over not being able to finish/keep enjoying the campaign :( My love for D&D grew after I had played Baldurs Gate III! I loved the story rich aspect of the game and various consequences you face depending on your choices. When I played campaigns, I loved the roleplaying part of it and acting / thinking like my character would. I also loved bonding with other players' characters! I enjoy battle of course, but I may not be the best strategist out there haha, but I will make a quick decisions, which may result in a hilarious outcome but who does not want to have a laugh during the game! :D
Favorite part of DnD: Character building, roleplaying and bonding with other players characters. I have strong story telling, character design and roleplaying skills. I enjoy creating characters with depth, unique personalities and intriguing backstories. My most recent one is a chaotic good male drow who escaped the Underdark and tries to adapt to life on the surface but is really goofy not having actual knowledge of it and being used to hierarchy and rules in his home place, which means he may not understand how manners, currency of world rules work like and call the sun a "an angry hot ball" ;) there's more to him and my other characters but I will spare the details.
In summary - I like playing my characters the way they'd behave/think in a situation, am a skilled writer, flexible with character design and adaptive to story changes. I look forward to seeing how creative the DM gets and what awaits me and my team. I'm thrilled by just being a part of a great story that I can contribute to as my character.
Fun Fact: Nothing an replacethat feeling when you roll the physical dice on the table :)
