This will be a customized experience, different than proper D&D. The Colony of Nature's Majesty is a settlement of 100 or so people, who actually don't live in the Colony. The Colony of Nature's Majesty is the workplace of the Naturalists' Collective. The Naturalists' Collective actively preserves wildlife from the supernatural forces that endanger it.
If you are interested in this campaign idea, let me know in this thread. I don't even need a group: a single player is perfectly fine. Now, I won't stop with just one player, though, as a group is more fun.
If you want to join, I'll need you to write about your character's affinity for nature, what realm your character lives in, and where your character lives.
Hook:
"Nature is not what it seems. In a realm known as the Ancient Wilds, a colony seeks to protect the land — a place where wildlife is endangered, supernatural forces roam, and Mana exists to be used for good. Many have heard the rumors... but now, the Colony of Nature's Majesty has called to you directly. A great disturbance has rippled through the realms... something, or someone, is causing portals to appear very frequently, and all across the realms. Monsters will often jump through these portals, which can even appear in villages. The Colony needs help, with both work and the threat of the portals. A Canine Golem jumps out of a portal that just appeared in front of you. It has the symbol of a Great Tree on its structure. It looks at you, barks, and looks at the portal. It wants you to follow it through the portal. Will you answer the call?"
Hey! I’m new to DnD but am super interested in this campaign! I’d love to talk to you about it more. My discord is zillawiza if you want to add me!
I don't have discord, but I'm free on DND Beyond. This will be a play by post campaign (I suck at real time; I am slow), and my secret to being a good DM is that I have the help of Microsoft Copilot (artificial intelligence).
Also, can you come up with a home realm and living space for your character? Additionally, the Canine Golem I mentioned is specifically recruiting people who have an affinity for nature, so you'll need to come up with that, too...
Where I live? In a big ****in' mushroom, obviously.
Ah, Mycology, the study of fungi. Quite interesting, actually, though I do entomology myself irl. The name you're using for your realm, the Sporest, is actually a nice play on words, combining fungal spores with the word 'forest'. Say, since this campaign will include realm traveling, we might actually visit the Sporest (which I daresay makes me think of the mushroom kingdom in Super Mario Bros).
Im very interested in knowing more about this campaign.
My character's affinity for nature lies in her belief that plants thrive best when growing together, their roots weaving silent symphonies beneath the earth, and she nurtures them with magic that encourages graceful, unified growth. She hails from the realm of Melodygrove, where rivers hum lullabies, trees sway in rhythm, and the very air carries harmonies, blending mana with music in an eternal composition. Her home is Thimbleburrow, a cozy, hobbit-like village nestled among towering wildflowers, where moss-roofed cottages glow with lantern light, pathways shimmer with bioluminescent fungi, and the villagers gather nightly to weave magic through their melodies.

That sounds beautiful, and quite serene. And we were actually just about to start, I'm getting ready right now.
