Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Face-to-face Experience: New / a few years Location/Timezone: Downtown Toronto, Ontario Availability: Open Preferred role: DM / Player
Hello,
I am looking to organize a Dungeons and Dragons group in Toronto. Looking for about 3-4 more people who can commit to a minimum of 3 hours every other week, so far its just me (a girl) and one other guy, we are in our mid-20s living downtown Toronto, no online games, looking to meet in person.
Looking to run a homebrew DnD 5e campaign, I can DM, but if you would like to that would be awesome as well. I've been playing for a few years and recently tried my luck with DMing, my friend is fairly new, but we are both super passionate about the game and are looking for people who are willing to commit to a campaign, and beginners are more than welcome. We want to be comfortable with people we are playing with and have an inclusive and fun campaign, so would prefer to become friends with the players and enjoy ourselves with no reservations.
I'm also looking for a group to play with in Toronto. My availability is a little constrained to Monday/Wednesday evenings though. I'm an early to mid 30's child, married but the mrs. doesn't play, I work downtown, and also prefer in person games.
My experience with DnD is a little more than novice, though only as a player. I have played in about 3 smaller campaigns, the longest being about 6 months, and I haven't played in a while so may be rusty. I love building characters with rich stories that can be incorporated into campaigns, with various classes and backgrounds. I would say my play style tends to be similar to Jester and Nott when they are up to their shenanigans - playful, but with serious tones when situation calls. I have played rouges and rangers, I would also be interested in playing a monk, bard, or barbarian. Open to fill any need for the party though.
hey this looks great !!! i'm in a couple games online but would really love to play face to face.
i'm winter or winnie, just ur friendly neighbourhood 25 yr old lesbian in greektown. fairly new to d&d but i think i have the hang of it now, i learn best by playing anyway. i'm a part-time makeup student and i have night classes tuesday and thursday 7-10 pm so those days dont work for me, but monday, wednesday, and saturday are good. i'm a freelancer so i generally have an open schedule apart from school.
big critical role fan, so i'd love to play a game that really focuses on the storytelling and character development--like i need the gasps and awes when someone drops some backstory, i want to see a real story created. i wanna do accents and i wanna get really into character and create relationships and maybe even cry i dunno.
anyway i have lots of character ideas, some completely adhering to the rules and some with more homebrew aspects. i'd like to try my hand at playing a cleric or a warlock, i'm currently playing two rogues and i need to stop typecasting myself.
Interested. Live in Toronto. Have some experience as a player, none as a DM. I'm downtown and can meet up anywhere transit will take me. I currently have a online game I play every sunday from about noon till 5-8pm. So any other time works for me.
Hi, I’m interested in joining :) I live downtown and I’ve been looking for an in-person group to join. I’m an online student so my hours are very open but I prefer early afternoon hours (basically I don’t like using the ttc at night). I’m an early 20s female, btw.
I love critical role also but I’m horribly behind so no spoilers please ;). I come from an acting background so I’m very focused on role play. I love doing accents (my last character was super british) and creating detailed backstories.
Right now I have a lvl 1 halfling bard ready to go but I can adjust the level or use a different character if need be. I also have a Tieflings warlock in the benches in case my dirt character doesn’t work out.
This sounds like it’s shaping up to be a pretty cool group and I’d love to be a part of it. Feel free to pm me with more details if you like.
Oh goodness I've been dying for a face to face group in Toronto. I'm 30, male, and am impossibly new to the game. I've been a follower of D&D for many years but have almost no experience actually playing it. Critical Role got me back into the idea that I should look for a group, even DM one day. I work in film and am a writer that needs to get his roleplay on.
Also..I have minis because I got carried away on eBay one day. Everyone would be free to use them, and I'd be willing to invest in some maps/forge scenery.
I live in Mississauga but I'm usually pretty free to commute down to Toronto during the weekends (I do this for one of my other games).
So depending on the day of week that the game runs, I'd love to join!
I also follow Critical Role more or less religiously, watch it live most weeks. The expanded content they've been putting out has been keeping me busy!
I've stumbled upon your post and I am very much interested in playing a local game. I am fairly new, but am a couple months in my current campaign as a PC. I've only ever had online sessions since I don't really have a local group to play with, but would love to experience a local face-to-face game. My current (online) campaign is a bi-weekly 5 pm one on Saturdays, but I'm generally free over the weekend to play.
Little bit bout me:
Male in my late 20s, very passionate about character/story-driven games in general. I also love RPing as I was a theater kid growing up. I don't live downtown, but travelling is not a problem - I just can't host if anything because I live in a shared apartment. I am currently interested in playing either a Monk, Rogue or Gunslinger, but I am open to other classes as needed to balance the party makeup - I am a pretty flexible player in that sense.
I am a Critter through and through. I watch Critical Role and Talks Machina religiously (when schedule permits at least). I am very much caught up with their current campaign and may have a slight crush on Yasha and Beauregard. xDD
I'd be interested in joining this or any other in person groups in the Toronto area. I'm (20M) looking to be a player rather than a DM, but if anyone is new to or inexperienced in DMing and interested in doing so I'd be more than happy to help out with rules and stuff since I am the fully time DM of my group. If OP or anyone else in the comments wants to form a group please message me at my discord fleshy#6206
Hopefully there's a few people looking for a warm body or two for a Saturday game Ive been out of the community for a long time but recent events seem to be conspiring to pull me back in.
I've got a mother of one based in Ajax looking for people to play with and I'm wanting to get back in the game myself.
Hi DrGonzo124, I’m also in Ajax! *waving* Did you find a game? I play Saturdays at Critical Hit in Courtice and host a group on Sunday nights if you’re interested.
Hey! I'm a fairly new player (couple sessions in a campaign my friend was going to and a one shot another friend put together). I'm looking for a weekend game to join if anyone has a free spot at the table.
A little about me:
Female mid 20's. Fairly new to the game but I love the story telling aspect of the game. Kind of interested in learning how to DM eventually. A little about my favourite character, Caotic Neautral Halfling Warlock with a drinking problem and a tendancy to climb the nearest tall structure. She's a personal favourite of mine but the bain of my boyfriends existance.
If anyone has any space for this sorta noob add me on Discord lilbosslia#6893
Hey! I'm also in Downtown Toronto. I'm fairly new - I've played for about a year, but the group I was part of is taking a break, so looking for a new one if anyone has space. My current character is a Tabaxi Druid, but I'm happy to roll up a new one depending on the campaign.

Let me know if there's still room!

If anyone has been checking back religiously hoping for an answer and hasn't found one...PM me! Maybe we can start our own group up.
I am still interested in joining a campaign. Either Monday or Wednesday evenings work with my current schedule.
Hey been looking online and but can't seem to find a group. did you happen to start your own group?
If your still looking for player, I would be interested in joining. Please let me know.

So did you all get a group together? Do you have room for one more? Would we have enough players for an alternate Saturday game? Anyone?
