Um wow hate to be the downer in this love filled thread but and no offense to you devs but this is pretty lackluster , ya ya I know not all the content is in yet etc etc.
The Character Creator is just sad. Some form fillable PDF's have better auto fill in features and calculators.
I expected more from Curse.
Some notable things that need to be worked on.
Rogue can't pick Thieves tools for expertise,
No way to auto fill in...... well heck everything that does not already have a drop down list. No random option based on race for regular stats like eyes, hair , height , etc.
Quickstart Characters um why does/would a halfling rogue take expertise in history and arcana ? Ever? Ok maybe if I knew I was going into a heavy rp session that was going to involve figuring out stuff going on with religion and magic and I still probably would not pick them but a normal everyday campaign umm no just no.
And I'm not even going to go into how much a pain the equipment is to figure out get the right stuff on and equipped .
It would be great to have the option to include more cantrips than are allotted for a particular level for a character, as is the case with the other spells. For instance, as a DM, I like to give prestidigitation as a freebie to all spellcasters and not have it count against the number of cantrips known. Hope that makes sense.
Great work on the site! Can't wait until all the content is unlocked to really give it a spin.
I'm waiting so many things like encounters, dice rolls, npc generator, mobs generator, a kind of diary for each session, and so much I can't even think of right now !!! There surely will be some ofit that will not be available for free but I'd like it if we had some of it already !!
The campaign manager could do with a couple of screen shots somewhere so we can see how they intend us to use it and what it might look like. Not really sure what to do with the current 3 notelets. I am assuming it is supposed to be similar to one note in how it is used. Is this correct?
Please merge the XP and character levels panes. It took me a while to figure out how to level a class on a character. At the very least have a link to the class levels page for your character from the XP sheet. Having to go back through the wizard (why does it pain me to write that?) to manage your class levels is a misstep.
question about the randomized character. What ability score generation process does it use? I know they obviously are not optimized, but does it just roll a 3d6 for each? would be nice to randomize characters with a few static options, like randomize race/background etc while keeping standard array. other ability score options would also be nice like 4d6 drop lowest. so far so good thanks for the update!
