The Cult of the Dragon has been active in Faerûn for centuries. It has focused on making undead dragons to fulfill a prophecy most of that time, but that’s changing. As the Cult of the Dragon has grown bolder, its actions have drawn attention. It is in these times, on the 7th of Mirtul (1489 DR), that a strange group of wanderers make their way to the town of Greenest.
((Once the players decide in the group PM from which side they make their way to the town I will narrate the approach))
For the past several days, you have been traveling a road that winds lazily across the rolling grasslands of the Greenfields. Sundown is approaching when you top a rise and see the town of Greenest just a few short miles away. But instead of the pleasant, welcoming town you expected, you see columns of black smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots at this distance, and a dark, winged shape wheeling low over the keep that rises above the center of the town. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon!

Eric looks up to the sky with dismay, lasting for a second he feels a painful sensation on his neck and his left arm where the scars lyes, "I happening again" he wisps and speeds his pace toward the town.
Before doing that, looking form the top of the road he tries inspect the city and the ground nearby, trying to spot if the city has been sieged by a ground army or is the dragon alone. He also try to spot the color of the dragon
Calvin stops in his tracks as he sees the sight of before him. He had expected Greenest to be a pleasant and welcoming sight after travelling for many miles. Instead, columns of smoke rise from the town in front of him. Then he sees the shape above the town, a dark, winged shape flying around and above the town. A dragon. Calvin feels a complex mess of emotions. He had always seen dragons and lizards as being similar creatures, and as such had always wanted to see a dragon. But not like this. Not where a dragon is laying waste to a town.
"Do you think we should go and help them?"Calvin asks the others, without taking his eyes from the sight of the town. "I'm not sure we can do anything to help, but I feel like we should try?"

"Probably we will not be able to fight the dragon directly, but at least we can help people to escape or we could help by taking care of the wounded ones, so I think we should go as fast as we can"
Seeing a dragon flying across the skies, Fizker stops in his tracks. "Oh bloody hells!" He looks up towards the others "Perhaps Calvin is right. What are we to do against a dragon?" Fizker unfurls the small piece of parchment. While glancing over it he thinks to himself what am I doing here? Leosin, why would you send word for me to meet you here? He gives a questioning look towards the note I could just turn around and continue my journey to Raven's Bluff. No, I've already back traveled six days to get here, plus he saved my life. I owe him. He thinks over this conversation he's having with himself in his head. Plus with this detour, no way these boots make it to Westgate now, not without finding a cobbler on the road. I guess this is happening. Time to die before my journey begins.
Fizker takes a moment to safely strap his map to his backpack. "Well, if we're going to die to a dragon, let's at least do so gloriously."

For the first time with this group of folks traveling, the smile on Zeminny’s face disappears. He will try and see if he can spot where some of the survivors are heading

“ we should not approach from the road…” he says and he pulls his bow and knocks an arrow. He will start to head into the grass off the road where he can blend in a bit better.

After just a momentary pause to try and grasp what exactly was happening, Telurion was already getting ready to run toward Greenest, his eyes wide at the destruction scenario, and the amazing sight of a Dragon!
But then the Paladin stopped, and listened to his traveling companions - he was trying to do better, be wiser and acknowledge others - "You are right"- he nodded - "I am sure there isn't much we can do against such a creature" - the man added - "I am not ready to die, but I agree with Calvin. We have to do... Something... Let's go!"
Adding a Perception roll in case there is something more Telurion could notice: 21
Zeminny can see an adult blue dragon circling at a distance around the keep. It doesn't seem to make any direct attacks for now. He also sees a lot of the "dots" moving around, you'll have to get closer to make out more.
Telurion does manage to see that a something catches fire. You're not sure what, but there are "dots" around it and it wasn't the dragon who did it.

Eric nods in agreement, "Yes, we shall go, but you are right It would be fool to approach the city from the main road. Furthermore, if the dragon isn't attacking the city someone it must be someone else on the ground, cultists perhaps. Approaching the city by a secondary road seems the wisest choice to me" Eric starts following Zemnny's path
As the party makes their way (following Zeminny's lead) to town, the sun sets. By the time you reach the edge of town there is only dim light (provided by burning buildings and the half moon). Most of the flames come from haystacks and barns, not from homes or shops. It seems thatch isn’t as flammable as it looks.
"Surely, whatever or whoever is attacking the village, is just as likely to watch the fields as they are the roads." Fizker begins getting off the road with Zeminny and Eric "Just - don't let me get lost in the tall grass!" Fizker continues approaching the destruction, as far off the road as his traveling companions go.

Calvin raises his left hand forming a circle with his index finger and thumb. His middle finger is clenched and two fingers half clenched. He then utters the world "Ductu." A glowing ball of green energy forms in the circle he has created with his hand. Calvin then brings his hand to his forehead and touches it with his index finger. The green energy travels along his finger to his forehead. He leaves a glowing green spot on his forehead which then fades.
You're coming from the right side of the map. The big road is the only road that actually continues. Those little roads are just dirt roads that end pretty much after the last building. Since you're of the road you can enter the village from thea East and stumble on a dirt road (you can't really see them unless you get real close).

(Guidance: +1d4 to any to one ability check.)
Calvin then follows the rest of the group treading carefully so as not to make too much sound.

Stealth 13
Telurion stays close to the buildings, and tries to be as inconspicuous as he can, but Stealth is not a skill he has mastered.
[ooc]I could roll Stealth, but with a +0 Bonus and Disadvantage... :P[/ooc]
(You will be fine look at my role)
