Next the Forest Master walks up to Masior, who is feeling trapped at the moment between animals and skeleton knights. " For some of you guilt over poor choices, may yet define you." Maisor looks into the unicorn's eyes and knows that she knows about things that he does not mention. He quickly looks to the Crystal Blue staff and then his eyes come back to the Forest Master. "For some of you the blood of others cries out, your action have consequences" she says and looks to down to Riverwind for moment. "Maybe the road to redemption is taking up a lost cause. Maisor looks down at his plate for a while in silence. Someone, Maisor isn't sure who, asks him why he isn't eating, and he looks up and smiles politely. He picks up his fork and begins.
Teric feels a chill when the Forrest Master addresses him. Based on the subtle reactions of the others, he imagines her words have had similarly significant meaning to the others in the party.
The table appears and a large bowl of simple but hardy stew sits before him. A random collection of bits of meat, roots and vegetables, sparsely spiced and rather thick. He pushes the mix around in the bowl for a while, thinking on his past. There was no changing the past. And with what they were learning, he feared there might be no changing the future either. But if they did nothing, there was no escaping it. If they tried to change it, chances were they would fail, but they would at least die with purpose. And maybe, gods willing, there was some slim chance they might make a difference.
Hunger gets the better of him and he begins to eat. Slowly at first, but more eager as the warmth fills his stomach.
"Dragons. Sure. This better be some gift."

Sitting at the table the Forest Masters words repeating through her fear addled, and exhausted mind, all Lorival could do was pick at the sugared pastries before her. Her wizards curiosity telling her somewhere quietly in the back of her mind that the sweets in front of her were summoned by her desperate need for comfort.
Anything to forget the last twenty four hours she thought.
Looking at her friends she could see them struggling with the days events or the Forest Masters wisdom. Then her thoughts turned to Riverwind, poor, poor brave Riverwind. The man was clinging to life by a thread. Even the new returned powers of the gods healing could do little more than keep him in agony on deaths door. She shivered and felt sick.
"Breenie what have we gotten ourselves into?" she said to her friend, "Will we all end up like..." she carefully pointed at the plainsman so Goldmoon did not see, "...him?"

Killian enjoys the meal and he is happy to relax for a bit. Still, he can't shake the words of the Forest Master out of his head. Death and Healing.
