Susan, quickly smartens herself up and attends with Barigel the Baron's Council.
"My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for permitting this audience. Regarding troubles in the town of Timberbottom, may we suggest that we attack in a fortnight and use the time beforehand to gather intelligence, train and perhaps send envoys/scouts to the towns. Ideally those scout envoys should be able to go openly, but from what the outrider said, we believe that caution is necessary and perhaps some small subterfuge."
Susan rolls 13+4 +5 (Barigils help) for a Persuasion of 22
Fin stands with Rex and Barigil, but lets the others do the talking. It is isn't apparent to anyone who doesn't know him very well, but the man has kind of checked out and is waiting for the politicking to be over. This isn't his area of expertise, and he is very uncomfortable in it.
Seeing that things are pretty under control at the moment, and realizing we have time to get the rest of the crew on board, he will head out back into town. Looking to stock up on supplies for the coming journey, he will seek out an alchemist shop to try and acquire some healing potions and alchemist fire if available. After that he will seek out a smith to get his sword sharpened and see if they have anything to offer that would be of help.
OOC: can you go over all the things we have available to us so far with the recent on boardings?
Okay you have free gear from the shops of seacast, you have General Harker's scouts, you have a town guide in Timberbottom, you have a sponsorship (75 gp to each player) from the Merchants council. You have the love of the common people, you have a good standing with the Lord's Alliance, a bonus in charisma checks against anyone who's heard of the Barons Council, the service of skilled artisans and adventurers.

OOC: Question, are there any higher level clerics in my temple or another temple that are friendly? I'm wondering if I can use them to cast scrying to learn what Oni is doing.

Irthos, when you get to the door, the kobold says "I have brought someone who is looking to help us." The door creaks open and both of you step inside.

Susan says "Thanks Rex, I will ask Barigil if he would help me with the Baron's Council"
"Barigil, would you be so kind as to help me with the Baron's Council? I will go and speak with the Council Secretary and request an audience."
Susan will then go to the Baron Councils secretary to request an audience at the councils earliest convenience .
Yes Duncan is at 20. You can look around, get fear (it's free) or help irthos.
