Nefire gets annoyed by the conversation, nods to Jordgubb to let him go off and do as he pleases. She starts walking towards the campfire, looking forward to the warmth of the fire and to see if there are any there to converse with as well. Maybe they know more information about the mystery of these woods.
With no further encouragement needed Jordgubb hunches down and transforms into a sickly looking cat, which then slinks off into the darkness near the creepy cabin, his small feline sillouhette can just be made out as he climbs the side of the cabin and prowls lowon the roof listening for movement inside.
Raevyn would pick up a few stick then follow along with Nefire to the fire, feeding the wolf some of the raw meat Jordgubb offered as they went. Naturally she keeps an attentive eye out for anything worth noting such as any threats, or some of these 'obvious trap's that their green panther suggested.
Should they succeed to settle at the campfire, Raevyn would skewer some of the meat and prop it up by the fire to cook. And if she had time while Jordgubb scouted, the doctor would take some time to cast a ritual of detect magic.
Krumar now left alone begins to panic. The sweat beads on his head drip down the side of his face. If his tribe saw him now they would think no less of him than they already do. He rushes forward smacking into the backs of Rae and Nef.
Jordgubb: You slink through the night as a sickly cat and have no doubt about your stealthiness. Your perception, on the other-hand, leaves a little something to be desired. You move off the path and into the foliage and overgrown grasses near the cabin in order to stay further from the flickering light the others are going to investigate. At the southwestern corner of the cabin you are beginning to start climbing the way when you hear a few creatures fly overhead, probably more knifewings which you so recently encountered by the sound comes and goes before you catch sight of them. You also hear some grunting... No, no, no. Get your mind out of the gutter. It is the grunting of hard work! (Still no, you filthy minded beast!) You almost missed two... well, you aren't sure what to call them. Two creatures moving a couple of barrels into this old run down cottage down at the other end of it...
The creatures are, perhaps, Goblins. Or so is your first thought. But no... they have teal skin, and a their heads are upside down! These are no Goblins! They don't appear to have seen or heard you yet but they are just a mere fifteen feet away in the darkness.
Everyone else: Nefire leads the way with a confidence and boldness bordering carelessness. Straight down the path she struts with the others following, with varying degrees of confidence and cowardice in them... Little or no effort is made to conceal yourselves but nor is any needed. Besides the occasional something on high flying by (perhaps knifewings like you recently encountered) the group doesn't encounter anyone. Yet. You get to about the turnoff where the main path continues on and a smaller one diverges and heads to the huts. From where you are now you see six tiny huts, poorly constructed, are loosely spaced around a cooking fire among the trees. The fire is low. Not dying out but certainly not a roaring campfire. There is nothing to see here right out in the open...
EVERYONE: You are still within shouting distance of one another. Wouldn't even need to shout. As such I see no reason to do two separate maps or put anything in spoilers yet. Feel free you just don't see what you just don't see yet :)
Krumar has the heebie jeebies....He's not feeling this situation regardless of where they go. He thinks to himself that Rae and Nef confidently walk along the path without a care in the world, which he does not have. He decides to move to a big tree to the south of him and stand behind it. He figures if some ghoul or goblin or winged lizard jumps out they'll get Nef or Rae first.
Raevyn follows along with Nefire, her head on a swivel. Though even with great perception, she’s not quite sure what she sees or what she’s looking at, if anything. She intends to detect magic, but hasn’t made it somewhere to perform the ritual. She keeps going.
Jordgubb is in sickly cat form and currently about halfway up the wall of the southwest corner of the rickety cabin. He has spotted the two weird upside-down headed creatures and they seem to be moving a couple of barrels into the cabin. There is no indication they have noticed anything unusual at all...
Nefire is leading the others towards the huts and the small outdoor fire. Campfire, probably. They notice no signs of life there (at least not yet) except the flickering flame... But before getting to the area proper they look back towards the cabin and also spot the creatures.
Raevyn, following Nefire but also being acutely aware of her surroundings, definitely thinks it is a campfire which has burned down as the night has crept on from late at night to early in the morning (Prolly just a bit after midnight, local time zone) but sees no creature movement there. But following Nefires gaze, she too can see the creatures at the cabin just about 20 feet away. Despite the darkness she can tell they are struggling with a barrel each, seemingly moving them into the cabin.
Krumar, seeing nothing but his worst fears in the dark, is hiding about 10' south of what the map shows, using the big tree for protection...
Jordgubb moves further up on to the sagging roof of the dilapidated building trying to get a better vantage point, simply to see what the odd goblins are doing, he remembers Raevyn telling him of unusual goblinoids looking Asif they've been put together wrong, Faevlins. He is interested in seeing what is in the barrels.
Jordgubb's little cat feet make barely a noise and the old cabin is full of creeks and settling noises, his movement draws no attention to him. Peering down through a hole in the roof at the strange fellas he gets no further insight into the contents of the barrels as they have lids on them. They do appear to not be light, however, given the grunts from the creatures.
Raevyn lifts a single finger, pointing behind the assumed Faevlins. The Doctor summons a silent but deadly scent to spur a who smelt it, dealt it between the two. She pets her wolf in wait with a straight face.

Nefire, upon seeing the two strange goblins, happily starts taking hold of her great axe. But then noticing Raevyn do something as she stares at them and seeing Jordgubb on the roof, she lets out a discontented sigh and waits. Impatiently.
(Jordgubb is tiny and stealthy, you'd have to roll pretty high to spot him on the roof... But you can presume he is around there somewhere.)
As the creatures are moving the barrels you notice one falter a bit before half turning to the other and making some semi-hostile remark in a language none of you know. The other responds in kind and soon they are kind of jousting with one another - shoving their barrel into the others to try to push each other around as they continue to snipe at one another...
Raevyn's lip curls as she watched the scene unfold, satisfied with the discord caused. She soon places an encouraging hand on Nefire's shoulder. The doctor then gestures 'after you'.
That is all the encouragement this halfling needs. Grinning from ear to ear she starts swinging her axe and passing it from hand to hand as she heads in that direction. In her eyes, being sneaky is an unfair advantage and she likes fighting people fair and square.
As she starts charging, something itches on the back of her mind.. she then realizes maybe they should question these things? Grrr.. She holds up as soon as they notice her, growling at them and swinging her weapon, "We have questions and you are going to answer them. NOW!"
If you want to be repositioned before things jump off feel free to let me know... I assume Raevyn is stay close to Nefire but I could be wrong. Last I knew Krumar was hiding behind a tree again and Jordgubb is still a cat on a cool rotten roof.
Nefire, as you advance and call out to these creatures, how loud are you and in what language do you call out? You just trying to get their attention or you shouting at top of your lungs or...?
