Later that evening, Amici Noctia arrive at Aerakin Mansion, located on Upcliff, the upper class neighbourhood of Saltmarsh town.
Quin Aerakin himself meets you at the door, and lets you into his large, opulent mansion. He greets you all, introduces himself to those who don't know him, and then walks you upstairs to the attic where his telescope peers through a skylight at the heavens.
He looks through the telescope as he adjusts it. "I'm looking at the comet right now," he said, removing himself from the telescope. "Remember we talked about the possible ramifications of the comet having two tails? To the naked eye, it looks like it has just one bright tail. But look through the telescope. One by one Amici Noctia look at the new comet through Quin's telescope.
"I think the white tail is dust, and the blue tail is gas," Quin said. "Regardless the comet has twin tails. And the blue tail is currently invisible to the naked eye, but it will become visible probably within a week or so. The public reaction will be.. interesting."
Amici Noctia discuss what this means, and all agree that Quin should tell his father, Chandler Aerakin, the oldest member of the Town Council. He can report it at the next Town Council meeting so they can decide how to deal with any hysteria.
