"C'mon, we don't have all day. Move your butts over here!" Karas gives the group a signal to move on. "We can laze off later. First we need a nice foundation to set up the tents. On with it!"
Thia, despite the heat exhaustion, teasingly sticks her tongue out at Karas before strutting off in the direction they need to go. She lets the ones that know better determine how much further and where the best camp would be. Hopefully it is by a stream that hasn't dried up yet.

DuHast suggest we go another hour and in that time we look for nice place the shelter and start gathering materials (survival: rollz 20+3 = 23 !!! NAT 20).
Kalkano as we start building the shelter can you setup some noise making trip wires around the outskirts of camp so we are surprised by anything. Maybe Karas can help since pirates have to have good skills with rope.
Wilrick if you could please create a small controlled fire. We already have the materials just need a spark.
Potential 2 hour shifts for the night: 1. DuHast 2. Wilrick 3. Kalkano 4. Karas
Also, I forgot, for defusing the trap encounter successfully, everyone collects 60 XP.
Nice roll! Guess the curse is breaking, you stumble upon a huge slab of granite sticking out of from the ground at an oblique angle, forming a natural roof. Additionally you find some bushes you know to contain edible berries and collect enough to feed the party for the night.
And I just rolled the random encounters for the four shifts and it looks as if the party makes it through the night without being disturbed.
You awaken the next morning refreshed, losing one level of exhaustion if you had one. The day seems like it might be a bit cooler today, though still unpleasantly hot. And there's almost no clouds in the sky.
(Also, good call on the colored speech Brisdeah, take inspiration as a reward!)
Duhast states we need to take a slower pace so we avoid any exhaustion checks in this heat and directs the group to the best route to check out the other trap since its on the way to the cave.
<DM: <Would it best for you just use milestones for leveling instead of XP. We might loose track if it in individual posts. <Were we given a timeline to complete the undead cave clearing mission?
(Sure, I'm fine using milestones. No one asked about time, but if we'd like to retroactively say it was asked, they say they'd really like it taken care of within two days, three at the most.)
((Put the speech in color is what i meant and DuHast might want a darker green and not neon. LOL Also if we try to still work with proper punctuation and embellishing the writing more it would read better though we have a lot of OOC already in the IC one. ;) Just my thoughts based on the other ones I'm in.))
Thia wakes up in the morning feeling much better. She doesn't stop smiling, but refrains from skipping about knowing they have a long day that could include finding undead, orcs, or who knows what. She pulls her hair up into a ponytail with a tie to help feel cooler as the sun would be hot for sure. Thankfully she had tanned already in this heatwave and wouldn't get too badly sunburned.
She doesn't understand much of the directions of how to get to the next trap other than knowing it is on the way to the undead. When they start out for the day she lets them lead without saying anything about it.

Thia seeing Karas wanting to go back to sleep starts yipping like coyotes on the hunt. She stays far enough away that he has to run across the camp to get to her if he wakes up angry.
Like Kalkano, her gear is gathered and ready to go. She just hasn't put on the heavy pack until she is sure everyone is really ready to go. After all, who needs to waste too much energy hauling it longer than need be. Besides, she might need to do a little morning run from Karas at this point. That thought adds a lopsided grin to her expression.
Karas gets up enraged and angry, and he picks up a boomerang (lets assume he always had it) and hurls it - attack roll 16, damage roll (1d4) 6. He shoves his way through and chases after Thia in a mindless rage. "Come back here coward, and fight like a man! Run, for you best not let me catch up with you!" (He now is in a rage, having all the penalties but none of the bonuses - minus 2 to AC)
DuHast steps between Karas and Thai, flares his eyes flaming red via Thaumaturgy because now he is irritated and loosing his patience and says, "Karas calm yourself down now! Both of you we don't have time for these games. Thai keep your shenanigans to yourself while we are out here, we have enough to deal with besides internal drama". (Hopes a persuasion d20 +5 = 18 or maybe even a intimidation d20+5 = 23 check might help deescalate things there.)
DuHast still irritated but calming says, "Now everyone get your stuff together we leave out in 5 minutes". We are going to the caves but swing by the trap first if its not too far out of the way. We are still keep a normal pace to avoid exhaustion. DuHast also makes sure the fire is out so we don't cause any unneeded forest fires.
(Haha, I was poking in to move the party forward and resolve that investigation check you made that I forgot to answer the first time through as you stopped by to inspect the trap. But The we're off to a bit of a rough morning)
Thia laughs and gets hit by what Karas threw at her. It's in the head and though her eyes cross a moment, she doesn't stop grinning as she dodges away from him. "I can't fight like a man because I'm a girl!" She skips around DuHast back to her pack. "I'll be ready to go in five. I'm ready now! And I'll still heal his grumpy arse because he's fun to have around." She gives Karas one of her award winning smiles.
She tilts head to one side and adds, "Oh, hitting me in the head won't do much. An orc already tried that and I'm still here." She sobers slightly as she looks around to make sure Karas is the only thing she has to worry about when it comes to being bashed in.
((Seems the heat and the attitudes of the party make them rub each other raw at times. As long as we have fun with it and our DM doesn't get annoyed, we should be good. Thia is pretty childlike when she actually isn't that young. Her head wound and small stature just help her put on such airs.))

Karas stops and walks back calmly. He needs to save his revenge for later. "Rotten hulvens o'er this side. Pff." He gives her an intimidating glare - 16 and stalks off. He also makes a perception check - 15 to check if there are any animals around. His revenge will be sharp and swift. (Poor thia. She will get quite a beating once karas is finished with her.)
((Not sure where you are rolling since it is not on our rollz page ;) going to just kind of take it in stride as roleplay and not sure what our DMs real rules are on actually attacking each other. Thinking we agreed to keep it at RP level as this is the only PbP I'm in that has even got out of the tavern or together so far LOL))

(Yeah best to leave this as flavorful roleplay for the moment I think. If the party is actually going to fight, which is you know, a bad idea to begin with, it should definitely be publically available rolz.)
You move at a slower pace this day, and combined with the slightly cooler temperatures, the hike, while unpleasant, is not overly exerting. After about two hours you manage to find the other trap the Chelston directed you to. There is some blood on the trap, though the area is only free of footprints, almost as if someone has passed through without trace. You do find a small torn bit of bandage near the trap itself though. Suggesting they tried to bandage up the animal after taking it.
After another two hours you manage to find the cave. The cave appears as a rocky outcropping on the lower westward slope of a seemingly unremarkable foothills of Urul’s Bulwark.Outside the mouth of the cave two zombies and two skeletons pace around in a seemingly arbitrary fashion, but never getting far from the mouth of the cave. The creatures take the vaguest of glances in your direction, seemingly vaguely aware of your presence but uncaring.
(So they have not noticed you yet, so we're not in initiative. However, once we go into initiative, to keep things moving, if you don't take your turn within 24 hours of the last person, you'll default to taking the help action to grant the next person in the initiative order advantage.)
Karas takes off his sturdy boots, sets his pack down, and puts on his quiet shoes. He also takes off his armor and covers himself with shrubbery to sneak up on them. (nat 20 = lol gud. Once close enough, he will devastate them beyond repair.)
Kalkano looks over to Thia as he wipes the sweat from his brow and says "I will need that rest soon as well."
(I like the idea of the different colors for IC speech. I'll use a different color to make it more distinguishable from your character's speech)
