"I...agree with Compline. If we were still in combat, I'd be inclined to fight until one side, or the other, is elimiated. But...I'm not inclined to kill enemies in their sleep. If this was a full war, maybe...I don't think anyone has a way to warp them to somewhere out of harm's way?"
(OOC: Just a reminder, as this is the layout for the dungeon crawl. After tying up and gagging the enemies, the party takes a short rest. Any features that that recharge on a short rest can do so).
"You know, Cyrus, bud...I'm still not used to all these Cleric powers. I could have used a Warding Flare against that Barbarian. Heat of battle, I guess. But then, I can only use it twice, and maybe I should save it..."
After the party takes some time to rest, they then proceed to the follow the lay of the cavern, following it's layout, turning with the lay of the land. So far, there have been no encounters, but they do find a chest.
"It looks like, after that encounter, we're finally having some luck...oh, wait! The Air Gensai mentioned there are mimics here. Is anyone able to determine if we have a chest, or a mimic? And if it's a chest, is it trapped?"
"I'd be inclined to agree with Maul. In a fight, you don't leave enemies behind, that can later come back to crush ya." Cyrus looks at his friend, and sighs.
"But, she did give us some helpful info, to beware of mimcs, so I was more cautious with my approach, instead of rushing, concerned with you. That gives her a pass, I guess. I'm not inclined to give the goblins the same courtesy, especially with Maul's words. You'd better be right with this, and she'd better have strong hands on those goblins, to return that favor."
As an Echo Knight, he takes point in the exploring, doing his best to watch everywhere at once, when he hears Richie mention the chest.
"Well, let's see what happens when I send out an Echo to touch it. That'll let us know as to if it's a mimic, at least." A dark shadowy aura surrounds Cyrus, his eyes closing for a moment, and the shadow walks forth from him, almost like it's peeling off from him. He opens his eyes, and sends him cautiously forward, arms ready to withdraw his weapon. The Echo, now within weapon distance, taps the chest, and nothing happens. He walks along the chest, his shadowy figure maintaining the distance. Finally, he completes his circuit, and with a little effort, Cyrus sends his Echo back to its origin.
"Ok. At least we know this one isn't a mimic. Whose going to check for traps? Or should I do that, as well?"

(OOC: The PC that wants to check on the chest for if it's trapped can either do a Wisdom (Perception) check, or Intelligence (Investigation), whichever is higher. DC 12).
"I...guess, since you checked to see if it's a mimic, I can see if it's trapped."
Slowly, Richie approaches the chest, trying his best to look for traps, and wishing he were a Rogue...or was somehow better equipped to check for traps. He reaches for the latch, and places both hands to the chest...and nothing happens. He opens it, to see what's inside.
"Well, 1 scroll of protection from undead...rather redundant with a Cleric who can Turn Undead. But, if someone's out of range of our Cleric..? The Potion of Climbing may be useful, though not sure with these iced caverns. And Potion of Greater Healing. Well, that's something. Is anyone else wanting any of these, or shall The Cleric hold them, until needed?"
"You may keep them," Compline says. "Let us proceed quietly... before our captives awake, perhaps we can locate our goal? I would like to find it soon." The elf twitches her ears back towards the bound goblins and genasi, as if still a bit concerned about them.
Being utterly bored, having to deal with a bunch of zombie minions, Vesper goes walking, to try to take her mind off of being assigned a bunch of zombies.
Zombies!? Are they trying to insult me! I'm a cleric! Yes, I'm a Twilight Cleric--but not a Death or Grave one!--and that doesn't mean I want to deal with them. Oh, because I can (eventually) use 'turn undead,' I'm the most fitting one to deal with them! What a load of dragon sh...
"...iiiiitttt!" Vesper exclaims, as she comes across Primrose, Compline, and Richie. She does a few jumps backwards, and calls the zombies forth.
"Not. A. Word. Cyrus!" Richie bites off each word, after his friend was the one to not get them caught, this time. He brings forth his holy symbol:
"By the light that guides my way, I call upon the dawn of day. Foul shadows, heed my sacred plea, In the name of the divine, be free! With holy might, I stand my ground, Let your wretched forms be bound. Turn away, you creatures vile, Return to darkness, for a while!"
(OOC: With the zombies under Turn Undead: Zombies that fail the saving throw are turned for 1 minute or until they take damage. So, doing anything that does damage to them will "snap them out of it." Turned zombies must spend their turns trying to move as far away from the cleric as possible and cannot willingly move within 30 feet of the cleric. Turned zombies cannot take reactions and can only use the Dash action or try to escape effects that prevent movement.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
From the Echo that seemingly appears out of nowhere, Vesper is hit, hard, with a maul: 14. However, going rolling like a ball, the second hit misses her, but she will be feeling that first hit.
Slowly, Vesper picks herself up, and sees the other cleric, and sees what he's done to her zombie allies.
Primrose keeps an eye out for company.

"Agreed. Let's see if we can bypass that next threat, quietly..." he looks pointedly at their Echo Knight, giving him a slight smirk.
Stealth: 4
"Hey! Not my fault! Just remember, the one who makes the claim, is most likely to be the next carrier of bad news!"
Stealth: 17
(OOC: see? Just saw your roll. Dice seems to not be favoring the overall group! FYI: I just added this OOC part)

"...iiiiitttt!" Vesper exclaims, as she comes across Primrose, Compline, and Richie. She does a few jumps backwards, and calls the zombies forth.
"In shadows deep, where whispers dwell, I call upon the night’s dark spell. Strength and courage, to those who grieve. From the depths of dusk, arise anew. Zombies of twilight, I empower you. With this blessing, your strikes will find, The hearts of the living, their fates entwined. By the light of the moon, I grant you might, In darkness you flourish, in shadows you fight. Bless!"
The zombies come up to each of the 3 who failed the stealth checks: hit 7 + 2.

"Would I ever, Richie? Not that I'd bugger ya for seemingly wanting to 'talk shop' with an enemy cleric. Why else did ya just bump into her?"
"In blackest night, in brightest day...my shadowy ally will make you pay! Let's also take some time to 'action surge!'"
Cyrus unleashes his Echo, who moves in to attack the Twilight Cleric. Attack: 19. Action Surge: 14
Vesper HP: 5. Concentration check: 10.
"Well, Damn! No point to keep Bless on those Zombies...you seem to be at least part Shadar Kai...parley? Ya Zombie louts: BAC. CUR. DUN!"
At the command words the Cleric provides, the zombies stop shuffling, and drop down into piles of so much ickor.
However, before anyone can do anything, Vesper is attacked by a Gray Ooze! 16. Damage: 5 + Acid Damage 10
(Assuming Maul has advantage since she wasn't seen.)
Maul jumps up with an angry roar and swing with both her hammers at the ooze. A spiny tail grows out of Maul as they growl.
Hammer Attack: 17 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Hammer Attack: 25 Damage: 9
