I'm currently running Curse of Strahd here on DDB and we recently had two of our players leave. We were able to recruit one player from the original recruitment thread, but we still need one player. Here's all the useful/relevant information:
Current Party:
We currently have a Hadozee Illusion Wizard, a Human Battlesmith Artificer with Crossbow Expert, a Drow Phantom Rogue 3/Bard 1, and the new player is a Fairy Celestial Warlock. The Wizard uses lots of support spells like Web or Minor Illusion. The Artificer and Rogue are our main sources of damage. The Warlock plans on running a healing build. Our activity ranges from back and forth to once a day (though that may be because of differing time zones). We are aiming for someone who can post at least once a day. We have a good-aligned party, which compliments the module.
Character Creation:
Level 4
Stats are either Standard Array, Point Buy, or 4d6 drop lowest.
Equipment can be starting equipment or rolled gold.
We use mostly 2014 content. Don't use 2024 classes or races. When there is both a legacy and a non-legacy version of a spell, use the legacy version (other than True Strike). Other spells are discouraged but not banned. Feats are on a case-by case basis.
I will be running a short introduction/tie-in for the new player from the other thread and this one.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I exist sometimes, especially when I'm DMing Curse of Strahd.
I do have a character I want to try out, but I want to know if your OK with a chaotic neutral character, and I'm wondering how deep you are into curse of strahd, I haven't played it before.
Chaotic Neutral shouldn't be too bad as long as you aren't playing chaotic neutral as 'I can do whatever'. We aren't too deep in. Of the 13 locations in the book with dedicated chapters, they've only been to three, one of which they have only scratched the surface of.
Backstory isn't fully fleshed out, but Ada's motivation is to atone for a failure to protect her sister when they were young. Ada was born in a small village to human parents. Her celestial heritage came as a complete surprise, and the other villagers treated her less like a person and more like an object to be feared or awed by. This same village fell prey to a band of vampire spawn, and Ada's sister was slain. Ada blames herself for not protecting her sister, and it was that event that caused her to take up the oath of a paladin, the Oath of Devotion to protect the weak and hunt down the wicked and unclean, especially the undead which Ada abhors above all else.
Here are my first mechanical thoughts. I will update the character sheet as I go, so the link will stay the most current version of what I've considered. Obviously (I hope), I'm offering a bruiser to bolster the group's damage.
This is gonna be the cutoff for anyone not already making a character. Monsterball, Engineered_Bread, and possibly Silverwand, feel free to keep going.

Sounds good, anything you want to know about my character?
If you could send a character sheet that would be great.

I'd love to be considered. Based on your party needs, I'd like to offer up the following paladin for consideration. I rolled stats on her sheet.

Sigurd Stahle's Character Sheet - D&D Beyond
I usually play clerics or wizards. Like to try out a Gloom Stalker Ranger, especially for a Ravenloft campaign.

interested
but looks like im 50th in line.. so wont spend time making the character as im assuming ppl above me will be picked.
I recommend you fire off a character and give it a shot =)
Knowing that it is for CoS, also recommend making a Paladin or Cleric as the party has none.
