"The mists have been here for as long as one can remember... Every night the wind screams with the howls of dogs... These lands have long been bitter and cold, rain and sleet cover the devil's lands... Tell me, o brave souls... Are you up to the task?"
Hello! My name is Jc (or JcAndD if you like puns) and you have no idea who I am! I noticed that there was a bit of a shortage on open campaigns at the moment and thought it could be fun to run a little bit of CoS (I've had the book for a while now, but my group isn't exactly one for spooks).
When creating your Character all WoTC 5e is useable as well as the Unearthed Arcana material We will start at level 3 Characters can be Rolled, Point Buy, or Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) (If you were to ask my personal preference, I like Rolled the best because it can create some interesting situations, but hey, you do you) Rolls will be conducted via DNDBeyond's Roll button. I expect all the PCs to know each other to varying degrees. Not everyone needs to be blood brothers, but you (as the MistBusters) have at least travelled together for a little while now. If you would like to have characters have closer relationships prior to the adventure, go for it! What I will need is a Character Sheet and Background (Optional: Character Portrait)
Hopefully, we could get about 4, maybe 5 depending on size of interest

I have not played CoS either, I'd like to reserve a spot as well. I'll put together my character after work tonight. Thinking I might go with an arcanist, I have a Devil Tongued Wild Sorcerer that might be fun :D
Sheesh - everyone has better rolls than me - can't believe I had 3 double 1's - no way I can make a very useful character with those....y'all certainly don't want a striker with a 12 str heh as his high stat.

I'll stick to the standard array then :P
At least you don't have a 4. Tell you what, I'll go for the barbarian and you go for something that doesn't rely on attack rolls or save DCs.

Short description: Elwarith is an average half-elf, with average looks, and average mannerisms, he does not stand out, in his non-descript cloak, and his non-descript armor. He is forgettable, not even his targets know who he is.
BIO:
Elwarith hails from Damara, or at least that’s all he ever tells anyone if they ask. He is a member of the Citadel of Assassins, though most do not realize that either. If asked he’ll tell you he’s a traveling salesman, or wandering priest, or perhaps just a poor homeless man in search of an honest day’s wage. He is however, an assassin….one who specializes in death from afar, he likes his longbow, preferring to ‘not get his hands dirty’ with up close combat. He can be your best friend, your lover, and your death without you knowing the truth.

Woah woah woah, ok this exploded quicker than I thought it would... Time for lightning dm mode!
Firstly, yes, you assumed correct, it was 4d6 drop the lowest, my bad on neglecting to mention that.
Yes, feats are allowed, I wouldn't say starting with any, but you're more than welcome to choose one at lvl 4
Matthias... that is fantastic XD George is a great character! Approved whole-heartedly! Edit: Good lord man, a flesh golem is smarter!
Argent, everything looks good there, did you mean Rogue with the assassin subclass? Approved anyway!
Ivan, looks very interesting, I like that he's an undead hunter, should be very interesting. Approved!
Finny and Madclergy, I look forward to your characters!
