Planing on rolling a Dragonborn paladin and was wondering if there are any canonical sects/orders of plate-wearing justice bringers for him to be a part of. Preferably one composed mostly of Dragonborn. I’ve read up on the Platinum Cadre, but from what I’ve heard they’re not a thing anymore. Order of the Gauntlet looked promising, but apparently they’re not affiliated with the church of Bahamut.
This is my own homebrew stuff, but in my game Bahamut is one of the main religions of the realm. There are different Orders of Bahamut based on the seven gold dragons that serve Bahamut. From the interwebs, they are:
Borkadd the Claw, a male gold dragon, is Bahamut's hand of justice. He is sent to enforce the law when there is no alternative. Kurya the Eye, a suspicious female gold dragon. She is the spy of Bahamut, sent on tasks that demand secrecy. Sonngrad the Wing, a female gold dragon who is the messenger of Bahamut. Gruemar the Voice, a male gold dragon, is a negotiator who prefers peaceful words over bloodshed. Marroshok the Tail, a massive male gold dragon, is the bodyguard of Bahamut. Though he is a merciless warrior, he is usually friendly and genial. Troannaxia the Presence, a female shining gold dragon, who with her intimidating presence is sent to subdue resistance when nothing else will suffice. Urgala the Fang, a female gold dragon who serves as a leader and chief tactician when Bahamut musters an army.
So far, they've only met two, The Order of the Claw, serving Borkadd, and are a fanatical sect of fierce, and often, brutal warriors. And the Order of the Eye, serving Kurya, who are spies and assassins serving the will of the church.
I'd argue for Bahamut having his own secretive Order of Paladins with a very narrow focus, opposing Tiamat's machinations, protecting the hatching-grounds of Metallic Dragons from all comers and protecting Orbs of Dragonkind from both the Cult of Tiamat and those who would seek to enslave Dragonkind as a whole, given that Bahamut/Paladine seems to be a relatively minor God these days.
Split it up into 5 'Wings' because of the five types of Metallic Dragons.
The Order of the Gold Wings as the strategists, war-time leaders and philosophers of the Wings, guardians of their most sacred texts and holy relics.
The Order of the Silver Wings as the healers, diplomats and inquisitors of the Wings, also tend to work in secret to guide would-be recruits through trials designed to test their dedication and suitability for the Order.
The Order of the Bronze Wings, focusing on maritime ventures, actively crusading even in times of relative peace and taking the fight to the enemy at all times.
The Order of the Brass Wings, focusing on interrogation, infiltration and the gathering of information, as well as spreading the word of the good natures of the Metallic Dragons and the teachings of Bahamut to the mortal races.
The Order of the Copper Wings, focusing on building fortresses and dangerous traps to protect and ward the most vile relics and dangerous tomes that the other Wings have recovered from the Cultists of Tiamat and other dangerous groups.
Having the Order being mostly focused in and around Metallic Dragons, who can assume other forms and thus can infiltrate Humanoid societies with relative ease, the Order could be a nomadic band of good-hearted mercenaries who also just happen to be a band of Paladins from various 'Wings' all escorting a Wyrm Gold Dragon protecting a Orb of Dragonkind, a series of 'social clubs' that are all working together to uncover a Cult of Tiamat in a metropolis teeming with intrigue, there's really no limit to what a group of Paladins with the right Feats could do with their strong Charisma-based abilities and the right tweaking from the DM.
Talons of Bahamut can totally be a Power Ranger parody game. Each player roles a Paladin built off of a metallic dragon. Give them each a magic set of armor (mithril scale mail with resistance to the matching dragon type) a magic melee and a dragon wing hand cross bow to match. The powers of armor and weapons only function while attuned and as long as oath are not violated. If you wanted to do zords; use clockwork dragons.
The only issue I have creatively is making the Gold and Brass feel unique as both are fire breathers.

Any suggestions?
Ask DM if there are any, if not, work with him to make one.
