I have 3 players in my group who have npc romance partners and two of them have just reunited and recommitted to their relationship with their respective s/os. My question is this, what do I do now? Do they just follow the party now and probably end up caught in the crossfire? Do I have the bad guys just kidnap them again? What are some things you guys have done that have worked well? I'm not a very romantic/touchy-feely person so I need some ideas.
Depends where the campaign is going from here? I mean, there's a chance for "My character's reason for adventuring is done, time to retire". Assuming that's not the case, the easiest option for the DM is to have them stay in waiting in a (reasonably) safe location, and mostly interact with the PCs when they're at home/between adventures.
If there's a known safe haven or powerful NPC that the players would trust their s/o's life with, you can have them stay there. They can also keep in touch with sending stones.

Hey guys,
This is a just fishing for ideas post.
Thanks for your help!
