I’m a DM that’s running a home brew campaign with six 5th level (currently) characters. I’ve just introduced the Champion’s Tournament, which is basically an MMA battle round robin for the country the characters are currently residing in. There are 1v1 battles with brackets for either Melee or Spellcasters, as well as team battles with mixed groups.
This tournament will takes months of game time with many, many rounds of combat. That’s where you come in!
Firstly.. will you share your DDB characters with me? I need NPCs between 4th and 8th level to fill in the ranks of the NPC combatants
Secondly.. if you’re interested in RPing in a one shot now and then and RP your characters.. that’d be awesome too!
If you’re willing to share you character, please share your DDB link either here in the comments or PM me directly. Include your favorite combo attacks or features and how you like to play the character I don’t need a full backstory.. just a few sentences would do. If you’d like RP a one shot now and then, include your Discord nickname and I’ll reach out to you
Thanks In advance and look forward to reading about all of your characters!
I don't use D&D Beyond's character builder because I had already bought all of the books physically, and it didn't make sense to buy them again to use the site. But here are some general character concepts I plan on using as player-characters in the future. It should be pretty easy to fill in the stats. Hope this is helpful.
warforged artificer (armorer): Heavy armor, incorporated into its body, thunderous punches that hit like a truck, and the ability to regenerate a pool of temporary hit points throughout a battle.
eladrin hexblade warlock (1), paladin (6 or 7): Use Charisma for attack rolls, damage bonuses, and add it to all saves. Has divine smite, and a racial teleport ability (usable 1/short rest in the MtoF, or Proficiency Modifier # of times per day in MMotM.
wood-elf drakewarden ranger: has a drake companion that can be re-summoned at full health with a L1 spell slot.
half-ork echo-knight fighter: can pop up from zero hp once, and can attack from other places via the echo, and even teleport.
half-elf(sun-elf variant for booming blade) swashbuckler rogue: move up, hit with booming blade and sneak attack, then move away without provoking attacks of oportunity, and still have the bonus action to either off-hand attack or hide.
fairy druid (circle of land: coast): control the battlefield with aoe, and fly over it while attacking with a bow or ranged spells.
high-elf bladesinger wizard: martial spellcaster
metalic dragonborn (from Fizban's) eldritch knight fighter: Can optimize breath-weapon attack by repleacing each attack in a turn with another breath weapon, then action surge and use attacks to mop up what's still standing.
Here are a my character that might be suitable. Depending on time I might be able ot join you to play them. The first two are activly being played but have made a copy at their currentl level. Theodore's campaign has ended
While Youk is technically level 3 (circle of stars druid) having been granted a feat at level 1 and the DM rule that players (and monsters) all have max hit points means that he is effectively level 4. He rarely changes form himself instead uses his wild shape either to have a familiar owl to scout (who can then use help and flyby in combat) and stary form (Archer) to increase his damage. For his action usually create a bonfire under the enemy (or enemies) or if concentrating on something cast guiding bolt or thorn whip.
Orsys (level 7 war wizard) is a brilliant academic and adrenaline junkie the spells he uses in combat depends on what he is facing
theodore a level 7 twilight cleric, is mainly built around support but could still try to incapacitate in a 1v1 and/or use things like spirit gaurdians and spritual weapon to do damage.

Thanks so much for sharing! These all look like fun to play.
I don't mind if you use these.

Edit: had to update the links.
Thanks for the NPCs! We actually have a Goliath Rune Knight in the party, so Thrymr should be a fun counterpoint to him.
