So, what I want to do is run a particular dungeon from a campaign module I have as a one-shot adventure for some friends (a separate group from my main party who is currently playing the full campaign).
I have not run a one-shot before, but I imagine that trying to adapt something from a full module may have issues. That is to say, while a dungeon in a module is only part of the story, and doesn't need to be all-inclusive of combat, exploration, and social encounters, I imagine that one-shots are designed to have alot of everything to make one game feel full and rewarding.
Has anyone every adapted part of a module to use as a one-shot? Did you need to increase the difficulty? What tips do you have?
