I am currently running a Forgotten Realms "campaign". I use quotes as the group is relatively new to Forgotten Realms and we are really exploring new character ideas I usually do not have in my own Homebrew Setting. So far having fun, but wanted to get some ideas from other DMs on how you all create "Zones"... Generally in my homebrew content I tend toward having challenges equal to the PC's level and experience, meaning that if they are 5th level, then the challenges will be around CR5. In the current campaign, I am considering trying a different approach, something more akin to having the Forest of Lovintar being a CR8 location, the Valley of Shaul CR5, etc. While the locations are made up, how might you consider the idea?
