So, My group didn't have anyone to DM as our usual DM moved away & is a different time zone that doesn't match with the rest of the party's schedules. I decided to DM since I had an idea for one & enjoy worldbuilding but I feel like I bit off WAY more than I can chew. I have talked with our previous DM and the Players and the consensus was that the party prefers to have a more guided plot as opposed to a more open world.
I have a world, backstory for the world, a city where I want it to start, that cities backstory & culture, I helped with backstories for the Players home cities, and I have an end goal(s) that I want to steer them towards but I really suck at getting the story going & the middle plot & encounters. Its like I get major writer's block.
Is there anyone who enjoys creating campaigns that could help me with that portion if I provided everything I have come up with so far?
Start at the beginning. Make the initial session simple and straight forward. You will get better the more you play and then you can weave in more complex content.

Thank you so much! I sat down yesterday to review my notes/ideas after watching the videos/youtubers you suggested and it was definitely too complex! I was finally able to get the outline for the first session down once I blocked out some of the overkill notes & ideas. Hopefully it goes well :)
