My next area that my players are going to go through is called Timmy's upside town. The general premise of it is that the players will need to use all of the starter equipment to deal the most amount of damage, they will also need to roll low, I.E. A 1 is now a critical hit, and a 20 is a critical failure. For the most part, I keep the game relatively user friendly where they won't need much knowledge in the way of D&D to traverse through this town and claim the deed, but I'm just looking for a few suggestions of things I could do.
Remember to reverse modifiers from stats unless you are looking for a situation where the players natural skills/talents work against them.
I would write out three-four areas in town that they can visit and do up a encounter for each one then make a list of 3-4 random events for the town.
Something I have used in the past in towns like this is a Cult/Social Club of overly friendly and helpful gnomes.

Thanks in advance :)

They should be able to make perception checks with advantage in the dark, and with disadvantage in areas of bright light.
