Hey y'all, a couple of quick questions about how the NPC guides are managed in ToA.
The guide says they get a share of the XP, but do not level up like the players do. So I'm assuming the stats the have when they are "hired" are the stats they will have for the whole game.
I also wanted to know how to adjust encounter difficulty based on having an NPC with a challenge rating rather than a level. For example, if I have 3 players at level 1, two velociraptors would be a medium difficulty encounter. If they had Musharib with them and he was willing to fight, obviously the difficulty would go down. But how would I appropriately balance the encounter when Musharib doesn't have a level, just a Challenge Rating of 1?
